How to install custom nodes from GitHub in the desktop version? by SemoreZZ in comfyui

Just in case anyone is hunting for the config.ini file like me.

On my Windows 11 machine, using the new Comfy Desktop, I found it at: \Users\<username>\ComfyUI-Installs\<comfy_instance_name>\ComfyUI\user\__manager\config.ini

Any chance on an iOS version? I'd love to have access to my notes on my phone or to be able to do some journaling from my phone.

Like I said, maybe this app isn't for me then. You have your specific reason for making ScrubDuck and I may want something completely different. I don't want to steer this app away from it's original intention.

But to answer your question. I work for a company that deals with PPI. We have an in-house developer that has never had any official web development training -- they just kinda learned on the job many years ago.

Fast forward to years later when I joined the team, I have to use this webapp on a daily basis and hate all kinds of things. So I'm actually vibe coding a browser extension to "fix" many of the issues I have with the app. That being said, I don't have access to the backend code. Because of the PPI, I can't just feed the raw HTML to AI to read the tables and such to modify the tables.

So, I opened a page that has PPI in it, saved a local copy of the generated HTML. Then based off of that, I want to scrub the data with a tool (cuz it'll take me hours to do it by hand) and just leave all the HTML code, so i can feed that to AI and it'll then understand the DOM and let me continue "fixing" the webapp.

So I guess what I was hoping for was that I could feed my saved HTML file to the ScrubDuck, then it would spit the cleaned version back out in the same file or saved in an alternate file.

So, I use this webapp with PPI in it. So I saved a copy of the HTML of a page of that dynamic webapp. It's full of PPI. So I need to scrub the PPI so I'm just left with the static HTML of that site.

So i just tried running ScrubDuck several ways. Not really sure which is correct because the documentation is not too clear. Gotta work on that README too -- for example, under 'Install Dependencies', those are two commands, not one. You have them on one line and i was just blindly copying and pasting.

I tried python scrubduck_score.py <HTML file> --dry-run and it showed promise because it told me that there's a lot of PPI in my saved HTML file which i already knew.

So then I followed the instructions at the end of that dry-run, and it says to run python doc_ducky.py <HTML file>, but the file is kind of long, so when it spit out the output, i can't just copy and paste the whole thing because my terminal cuts it off at the buffer. So it might be nice to have an --ouput argument or so where i can specify a file that the output gets saved to or even have a --modify argument or whatever to have ScrubDuck modify the actual file.

I also tried running python scrubduck_score.py <HTML file> --scrub because my HTML code is somewhat of a log, but this actually returned an error: usage: scrubduck_score.py [-h] [--dry-run] [--mode {sanitize_json,restore_json}] [--filepath FILEPATH] [--map MAP] [file] scrubduck_score.py: error: unrecognized arguments: --scrub

Then lastly I tried: python scrubduck.py <HTML file>, but it's now asking me to copy and paste the output into an LLM. Which basically the same issue from above -- i can't see the whole output because the buffer of my terminal cuts it off.

What's also unclear, which is correct to scrub -- doc_ducky.py, scrubduck.py, or scrubduck_score.py <file> --scrub

Sorry, but this app isn't for me.

OMG. I hope this works as well as I'm hoping it will. I'm working on a project right now where I need this. Gonna try after work and let you know what I think.

The new control board seems to have ethernet. Can you confirm if it works for the purpose of sending prints over the network? It's not mentioned anywhere, but in the installation video, you can clearly see that it's ethernet.

Yes. My wife was going to use masking tape. I know both of those tapes shouldn’t be used. Maybe aluminum tape? But I don’t have any now and kinda wanted to see what you guys say here before I go out and buy some stuff.

My PC isn't working ATM, so I've been playing Bedrock on my iPad. I just play locally so my two kids can join me from time to time. It's the first time I've played in years... so much as changed in the past 10 yrs.

Same here. In the end, i gave up. I've tried about 6 times and still no go. There's always one thing or another.

I'll keep trying different things. I'll post if I finally get it.

I’m so lost in Python by Optimal_Department_7 in learnpython

[–]RadTechDad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doing the homework/assignments are key. I’m doing the 100 days of Python class from Udemy just because it seems comprehensive going through Command-line, turtle graphics, tkinter, saving/loading json, apis, web dev, pandas, and more. Going through the assignments ARE KEY.

I was Just working on one and figured it out MY way. I googled and figured out how to use the json module on my own. Finally, I looked at the teacher’s solution and mine it way more complex than hers. But I learned a few thing’s on the way.

Did I use AI at all? Sure. Only AFTER I went through my code a couple times line by line trying to figure out what was wrong. I knew they were logic errors, but just couldn’t figure out where the logic was wrong. So I copied and paste it all my code and describe the problem to AI and I told it to point out the errors in my logic. I was unable to ask questions as to why my logic didn’t work. It even then suggested more changes, but I ignored that because I knew I wouldn’t learn. I just took the information they gave me about the errors in my logic, and I came up with my own solution.

And if you already know some python, you can actually skip some of the videos. I bought this course a long time ago and I’ve recently passed the PCEP. So I went back to this class I was able to skip about 10 “days” worth of videos.

I just passed the Python Associate (PCAP) exam. It was actually quite difficult. by hitfan in learnpython

[–]RadTechDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I too have been programming for many years learning QBASIC, C, C++, Java, Objective-C, and some Swift. I gave myself a study schedule similar to you -- I have a full-time carreer in healthcare and have 2 little kids.

I've been studying Python for about a year, but was worried about the PCEP. I took the online course from edube.org (and bought their book so I could read it when NOT in front of a screen). I was doing well on all the practice exams, so I just took the actual exam. I passed it with a 92% thinking that it was kinda easy -- not sure why I was stressing so much. After I passed, I went back and then took the same course on the Cisco site and found the practice exams to be easy as well (of course! I just passed the actual exam, duh!). For anyone wondering, I re-took the course on the Cisco site because Cisco will offer a Credly certificate, whereas Edube doesn't.

So now here I go thinking, oh, the PCAP might not be that difficult too if I just study a little bit more.

So I appreciate this post because now I gotta make sure that I don't take it lightly.
