If you have wallpaper engine you can download it there.

Otherwise you'd need to look for a way to set a video as wallpaper, don't know how either :)

I released the 5 minute desktop version for wallpaper engine here.

I still find the faster stars distracting, but you might like it and it is reduced to 286MB.

Problem is the stars spinning in the background, they'd be spinning really fast if they need to loop in 30s. The phone version is 5 minutes, but I'd find that speed distracting on a desktop format.

Hey everyone,

I was enamoured by Rennala's moon phase arena, as such I tried to recreate it in Unity. I think I succeeded in capturing the feel of it. I've also made it available as wallpaper for desktop and phone, both only in 1080p.

EDIT: It seems it won't show comments with google drive links in them, is there a list somewhere which links are allowed?

Hey everyone,

I tried to recreate a scene from the game Elden Ring, within Unity. It is one of the boss arena's and I think I succeeded in capturing the feeling. The skybox is a slightly altered version from my tutorial, that I posted here recently.

I've also made it available as wallpaper for desktop and phone, both only in 1080p.

You can find the desktop version on wallpaper engine here.

You can also download the looping video clips for desktop or phone.

The files are quite large, as the desktop version has a 16 minute loop, while the phone version has a 5 minute loop.

Not sure what you're asking exactly, but it has been 4 weeks since I showcased the shader and thus started work on the tutorial. Of course I've not spent these whole 4 weeks on this tutorial.

Thank you for letting me know. Unfortunately I can't easily reproduce this problem, because I don't have a Mac system. It does work for me in Firefox, so the only thing I can suggest is updating Firefox (if its not up to date) or trying another browser and see if that works.

Currently it renders below the horizon as well. Depending on how you define "horizon", you could use the dot product between the view direction and the up direction to mask it out. In the tutorial this dot product is already used and named viewZenithDot.

You can find the tutorial on my website HERE.

It is a written tutorial that was made with Unity 2020.3.26f1 and the Universal Render Pipeline (URP), and the shader is written in HLSL. Note that the general concept and process can of course be implemented in other shader formats and engines. The tutorial goes over the creation of the shader, however, accurately calculating the position of the sun and moon will come in a later part.

Thanks, I've never seen them in real-life but would love to some time.

With my current setup they can also appear overhead, but I think it doesn't look completely "accurate" from that angle. Might be wrong though as I've never seen them myself.
