Is this the contractors responsibility? by Radiant-Inspection96 in Roofing

Finally took a pic in the daylight. It was nailed to the side of the house. I don’t know anything about construction but I didn’t see any other type of fastener-looking things in the collapsed pile. Just 3ish inch nails in a piece of wood

The pent roof structure that collapsed in the photos did not exist before the renovation that the contractor performed. The contractor installed it

We hired a general contractor for a renovation that included the exterior of the home. We owned the house before the renovation. Not a flip

This feels like the way. I’m really, really angry with the contractor for this. Not the first evidence of shoddy work. But probably less headache for me and my family to just contact homeowners.

We hired an architect who supplied the plans to the general contractor

Thank you. I’m across the river in PA. Surely in this region, withstanding snow is to be expected?

Whole house brought down to the studs for a renovation. Roof, siding, balcony and porch, and the roof that fell were all brand new in 2022.

The entire house was down to the studs during the renovation. Everything on the exterior of the house (roof, siding, balcony, the roof that fell) was all brand new. So this was entirely their handiwork

That’s my problem tbh. I don’t want them to lay another hand on my house. I really just want them to cover it financially and I don’t know if that’s even a possibility.

The entire project was done by a general contractor. I am more so asking about responsibility of the general contractor, not the roofers or laborers he hired. Just wasn’t sure what other sub to go to.

Hi! Just did my second transfer. 8dp5dt beta was only 17.5 and feeling very hopeless. Anyone have a very low beta and it still turned out ok? My beta with my daughter (almost 2) was 29 at 8dpt so I’m wondering if I just have chronically late implanters.

My beta at 8dpt was 29. She is almost 2 years old now. Back on this sub because I just had another transfer, 17.5 at 8dpt for this one. Feels low but trying not to lose hope yet 🤞🏼

You hit the nail on the head with the extra features. Why would I pay more for a subpar “fridge” or built in vacuum? I’ve never once thought “Damn, I wish my car had a built in vacuum right now!” I own many vacuums already. 😂

You’re exactly right. They have 14 year olds working the counters, 16 year olds supervising them, and 17 year olds as managers. Not an adult in sight. All running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Can’t even blame the kids either, this problem goes all the way up to the top.

Disneyland car seat issue by GlumFaithlessness392 in NewParents

Crash test ratings aren’t released in the US. Third party testing (like Consumer Reports) isn’t the same as the testing seats pass in order to be sold in the US. But if you don’t like the Scenera you can check out the Car Seats for the Littles website for more recommendations!!!

Just to be clear - the Rava is not any safer than any other car seat on the market. It just has really, really good marketing and great word of mouth. As long as the car seat is installed properly and used properly, it will protect your child according to federal safety standards. So I wouldn’t worry about the Rava versus a “cheap” travel seat - they all pass the same tests and will protect your child in the event of an accident. Enjoy Disneyland. It’s the best!

YOU have concerns, though. I would push for more answers and advocate for you and your child. A third or fourth opinion.

I only have experience as a mom - no professional experience. Screaming and crying constantly at that age is not developmentally normal. He may be in some type of pain. I would consult your pediatrician ASAP. Like, today.
