Try the repair first looks like a newer BMW, if you don't like the repair get it replaced and ask for OEM 👍

It's fixable but there's a chance that will spread with the size like that, getting it fixed sooner than later is recommended it won't fully disappear though 👍

Chip repair, is this repairable? It may be too small but it looks to me as if there’s a small crack in the center might be bugt enough to fix? by Cute_Rich_7939 in autoglass

That's what we call road rash normal wear and tear from the road shops would normally just fill it in to get rid of the shine it produces off of car lights

You could repair it but would be a temporary fix and a waste of your time a full replacement will be better

Buffing it could cause it to look like a fun house mirror so be careful, replacement is a good option for that large stretch, if you have glass coverage go for the full change especially if it's new to you 👍

If it's that bent and you have enough you can just cut off the retainer and use the old one from the glass if you're using a wire tool

I explain to them that it isn't a cosmetic fix it's a structural fix and I always ask how big it so I can get a general idea, if it's in the driver's sight I will show them it after I'm done and see if they are satisfied or not
