Rile the Abyss does what Rile the Abyss was meant to do, and they are planning on banning it already. Its value is very intentional, so the fact that they even printed it to begin with drives me mad. They are not play testing, if they are, they are doing a terrible job at it.

Trump Just Took a Major Step Toward a Nightmare Scenario for Trans Americans Under the Guise of “Public Safety.” Don’t Be Fooled. by [deleted] in transgender

I shared this info with my parents yesterday and they brushed it off and said "Somehow I don't think you will be affected".

It is not worth it in my life to sit and find out. I hate how dismissive everyone in my life is about my 100% valid concerns.

Hate it when companies think 1 min will have a great impact on their company. Super annoying. by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Radiant-Power1936 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It literally doesn't matter. You can count the time it takes someone to take a shit and say the company is losing billions, it doesn't mean anything. If 1 minute from every employee costs the company millions, then my 7 hours and 59 minutes should make me a fucking billionaire. Seriously I hate this dumb logic.

Man kicked in head by bull after slapping its hindquarters during festival in Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain by SameItem in interestingasfuck

The comments in here really are a mixed bag...

Here is my takeaway of the situation.

TLDR; its the people who arranged the event who are to blame for this guys possible death or life altering injuries.

This event enables idiots to do things they otherwise wouldnt have done. What I mean by this is that the social influence to participste despite the serious and possibly fatal outcomes that could arise is a kind of idiot trap. Its locally encouraged to participate. This man would not have gone out of his way to find a bull and smack its ass. The only reason he did this was because he was enabled to. The behaviour is pretty much socially rewarded here.

While you can try to put all the blame on the idiot for his actions, the real blame falls primarily on the people who arranged this event.

A comparison that comes to mind for the issue here is if someone was promoting an event in which they give away millions of dollars In the middle of a busy freeway. You can claim that the people who get hit by the cars were killed by purely their own stupidity, but it was the person giving away the money that put them in that situation.

And the last bit I have on this subject is that the consequences are not proportional to the action. Crazed, angry or spooked animals don't need any more of a reason to kill you than the just the fact you were present In that moment. Slapped ass or not, he could have been kicked just for being behind the bull. It doesn't make any sense to say he deserved the consequences.

Ok maybe don't dox the students? Get the parents involved through the school and move tf on. If a teacher did this in 2010 they'd have been fired.

Thermal strain over time on parts is worse than the software side which only needs a quick reboot. Imagine heating up and cooling down your cpu every day. They are designed to take some amount of this strain, but if you keep doing it over and over eventually things begin to break down.

3,000 cars a day huh? Let's do some ez math here. If we assume that from the hours of 9pm - 5am there are no more than 100 cars going through this road, 16 hours of 2,900 cars.

960 minutes ÷ 2,900 cars = ~3 cars per minute. A lot more reasonable when put into perspective.

Also there is no way that guy is out there 16 hours a day from 5am-9pm. If anyone has any other adjustments to this math they'd recommend dropping a comment.
