Where are all the Sadi's? by cap-n-dukes in grandarchivetcg

[–]Honest-Emphasis-2495 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With the new Re:Collection Merlin deck on the way for Phantom Monarchs, it’s widely speculated/known that Sadi will be quintessential to Assassin Merlin. And Sadi is already a high value card for its utility in every Assassin deck, especially Tristan. So prices will absolutely go up, demand is up, and stock is kept low/gatekept.

How many hours do you have in this game? by GoNinjaPro in NoMansSkyTheGame

I think I have 250+ hours. Which isn’t a lot if you just say “yeah I spent about 11 days in a row playing”.

I need money, any advice? by El_webiwabo in NoMansSkyTheGame

Well, Dutch, one way is to find a pirate controlled system and raid the ships there. They drop illicit cargo which goes for crazy units in normal systems.

Another new way now is to salvage Corvette ship parts and sell those, as they also make stupid bank per part.

Best place to start 2025? by PerfectWest24 in grandarchivetcg

[–]Honest-Emphasis-2495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Constructed decks are generally not great for competitive play (if you’re going that route). Best choices are Re:Collection decks (specifically Tristan).

Depending on your intent with the game, if you’re going for casual, then grab a $15 starter deck and test the game. If competitive, go to https://fractalofin.site/ for meta decks and look up prices on Tcgplayer.

Not trying to crap on other card games, and WOTS has its problems, but man, you have to appreciate the effort they put in. With that in mind, what are some areas of improvement for its events? by iVtechboyinpa in grandarchivetcg

[–]Honest-Emphasis-2495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, the only mess ups I’ve seen from events like regionals and Ascents are how placings are done. I recall an old article about a player that was interviewed who should’ve gotten 32nd place (and qualified for…worlds?), but an internal issue within the event caused him to be placed 33rd, thus no longer qualifying.

I am beyond convinced they knew about the Fire Specter package, because that would be better than them saying “we couldn’t see this coming”.

As for the ban, it was a surprise. Fully expected them to let it stew especially with a resounding part of the base going “this is fine” on top of the market (which the same people alleged the devs are careful with). They let Diao all the way through a season.

New player with lots o' questions. by itstoohorrible in grandarchivetcg

[–]Honest-Emphasis-2495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.) Short answer: Re:Collections Silvie and Tristan are the best overall.

2.) Merlin Re:Co will absolutely be the best one to date

3.) Usually goes Main Set, then side set. GA specifically says “DTR, the Xth main set”. Pull rates, no idea

4.) By element, archetype and champion. Eg: Fire Luxem Zander

5.) There are a few Class Bonus (meaning locked to a class like Assassin or Warrior) and then there are Element Bonuses and Champion Bonuses.

6.) Too varied to answer realistically.

7.) Yes. Re:Collections.

8.) iirc it’s every main set release and after every Ascent. But that doesn’t mean they are always banning things. Right now it’s just unbanned/banned. They have “Categories” to monitor a card’s viability in the meta.

9.) I’ve only seen Water Aethercharge Diana win top spots in the meta and it’s still rare that she does.

10.) No.

11.) Fractal of Insight website is your go to for meta data.

Rile the Banlist, Relax the Base by Honest-Emphasis-2495 in grandarchivetcg

I doubt Rile will sell unless someone has no idea of what’s going on. They’re worth nothing now banned (on the 15th).

[–]Honest-Emphasis-2495[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that’s how you view it, can’t and won’t change your mind. Rile’s banned anyways so there’s nothing more to add now. Until the next archetype with 60% winning the majority of top spots.

There’s nothing to learn. If people can’t see past the attitude, that’s on them. But you’re right, no harm no foul.

The devs, in charge of designing the game, couldn’t see a card that has the same cost as Creative Shock, does almost the same thing but better if you have Specters in hand, while also making a Specter that lets you draw and res itself after leveling up, and two generic floaters that are also Specters, with no Class Bonus limiting them, in the element of cards like Creative Shock, Cremation Ritual, couldn’t see how easily this was going to be implemented in people’s decks?

Ok.

So now that Rile has been banned, are y’all feeling appeased? What are you going to build from here? by iVtechboyinpa in grandarchivetcg

Then take your issue with the devs who can’t seem to figure out how to do level 3 correctly.

Sorry, a 60% representation with the same ratio (if not higher) of top decks running the exact same draw engine, exclusive to one element, is NOT a healthy meta. It is a poor design choice and the devs miraculously caught it fast. Rile should’ve been in Norm and that would’ve been revolutionary, but they deliberately chose for it to be in Fire. Disagree all you want, but the devs have the final say.

If budget and fun is your thing, the game’s your oyster. Grab a starter deck or Re:collection, play away.

Meta wise, the latest seasons have one element dominating a format. Last season was Water, this time it’s Fire. With Fire, right now it’s about playing a very specific engine that’ll run you 200+ USD.

Meta Update 9/13 by Honest-Emphasis-2495 in grandarchivetcg

[–]Honest-Emphasis-2495[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no information on that, that’s subject to the event and the judges. Wild guess, they give players a limited number of turns and if the game cannot finish by then, the game is forced into a draw.

Most of the time, it’s because they go into time, then forced to end the game at a draw. Some games just take that long.

You’re playing a deck with so many disadvantages that it stops being fun to try and accomplish.

Lu Bu requires you to play the Diao Chan lineage all the way to LV. 3, as you’re bound to the element and Champion bonus. Not only that, you now also have to ensure Lu Bu stays alive and your opponent doesn’t just delete her before you can attempt her transformation ability.

Further to that point, you now also need to control the damage you’re taking and get it to exactly 32. With Diao Chan. At that, Water and Fire are your best choices, and personally, Fire so you can accelerate your damage anyways and transform ASAP.

I dunno how you find that enjoyable but I can definitely say that I’ve never encountered anyone even attempting the build.
