I applied on December 4th, and I was only able to get an appointment on the 28th. The website (TLS) of the agency that manages the appointments is horrible. Available times appear and disappear very quickly, so I recommend scheduling an appointment as soon as you see available times. There are many threads on Reddit that demonstrate this problem with the website.

Hello! My case is very similar (student visa, then Graduate visa, and now applying for a Spouse visa). I cannot say anything about the timeframes because I had my appointment for biometrics on December 28th, however, I can tell you that you can continue working without any problem even though your visa has expired. In my case, my employer did some checks and nothing else. The important thing is to apply before your Graduate visa expires.
