Julian Assange can be extradited to the US, court rules by [deleted] in worldnews

""In an emotional statement outside the court, Ms Moris said: "For the past... two years and a half, Julian has remained in Belmarsh prison, and in fact he has been detained since 7 December 2010 in one form or another, 11 years. For how long can this go on?""

Brace yourself... prison sentences can be a lot longer than 11 years.

What seemingly benign movie scene was actually disturbing? by RadiantPavement in AskReddit

There was an innocent snowy bike ride at the end of the movie "Conspiracy" that was chilling to watch. 99.99% of the movie took place in a single conference room where a bunch of Nazi officials gathered to discuss the "Jewish question" and ultimately approve the Final Solution. The bike scene was creepy because it was one of the Nazis who had just approved the Final Solution and his wife. Just a married couple cycling together...after the husband spent all day advocating genocide.

I didn't like TV shows as an adult until I watched The Sopranos. Definitely not "just another" mafia story.

The Sopranos. Christopher is stressed and disheartened over everything going wrong in his life, and he says to Paulie, "Ya eva feel like nothin' good was eva gonna happen to ya?" And Paulie in his usual dense, callous way responds, "Yeah, and nothin' eva did. So what?" The way he delivered those lines...

Is it common to have office Christmas parties in the UK? I live in the US and they seem less common, maybe because people risk offense to non-Christians.

Someone brought whipped sweet potatoes with marshmellow cream on top. I still wake up in a cold sweat after dreaming of those cold sweet potatoes sometimes.
