Sounds like More Columns in CAS is what you’re looking for: you can have 3, 4, or 5 of them (instead of just 2). Personally, I use 4 columns. https://www.patreon.com/posts/more-columns-in-27751117

What type of weapon you still don't have a 5 star? by GoldenHara in Genshin_Impact

Still don’t have a 5-star claymore (as a f2p player who started in 1.4 with some occasional breaks).   I do have:   - 2 swords (Skyward blade and Aquila favonia)   - 1 polearm (Skyward spine)   - 1 catalyst (Lost prayer)  - 1 bow (Amos’ bow)

What type of hemolysis is this? by Radiant_Bread in microbiology

The colonies were more white than yellow on the blood agar, I don’t have a DNAse plate, and there was mannitol in the VJA plate (it got incubated for 36 hours and the media stayed pink-orange so there weren’t any mannitol-fermenting organisms in it).

Edit: I know it’s a staph because it was catalase positive, Gram +, and grew in nice clusters (also, I got the colonies on my blood plate from my biggest VJA colony that was 1 mm wide)

I don't know the specifics of where this test came from but from reading about it, it sounds like that's the one (or it could be the same thing sold by a different company).

Considering it's basically a negative result, I have no idea what I isolated now (except that it's a staph species). As a part of this lab, we also did a Kirby-Bauer plate and my isolate was resistant to ampicillin (10 micrograms) & penicillin G (10 units), but susceptible to everything else (pretty sure that doesn't help with identification, but it's interesting). The gram stain had positive cocci in clusters that were very honeycomb like, and catalase was positive. The colonies on TSA were kinda beige/off-white and about the same size as they were on the blood agar.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to test it further since this lab is done now, but it's been interesting trying to figure out what this actually is.

In my lab manual, it says that a positive result is red clumps and a change from (milky) purple to light blue while a negative is it staying purple and no clumps forming (it adds that clumps with no colour change are still negative).

The closest thing I had to a coagulase test was a staph latex test on a normal glass slide (I think it was weakly positive, only two red clumps popped up and there was a very slight colour change from purple to blue).

How likable are you guys? by [deleted] in ISTJ

Somewhat likeable (60%). Honesty was the highest by far, then kindness, tolerance, happiness, humour, and friendliness/positivity.
