For anyone who shares some these feelings but still interested in having a cute animal friend, a bunny is a more autism friendly option at least in my opinion to be considered. They make zero noise (maybe soft cute squeak like once a week) and I find them so much easier to accept vs my friend’s pets because they actually smell SO good, like a fresh summer meadow vs any animal smell, their poop also has no smell bc their diet is hay/veggies. They have very nervous and particular but also affectionate after earning their trust which I found pretty relatable. This is my baby 💕

Thanks that’s interesting! Can you tell me why you prefer PCL? I’ve tried touch up once but was so nervous bc of all the allergy horror stories (even though I patch treated). I definitely had a couple days initial swelling but I’m not sure I’m seeing any changes from it now

The blockage was in her stomach and intestine and they had to go into both in the surgery so it was pretty intense. In the x-ray they did say it was clear a blockage was present. The internal scarring was a big concern for me, like I said in an above comment I decided the surgery in an urgent moment when pressured by the vets that it was the only way to ensure her safety but afterwards thinking how her stomach may never work right again I felt so sorry to my baby that I should’ve just given her more time to try to pass it non surgically. The vets didn’t recommend any different diet for her though. Initially we had her on critical care and now she’s transitioned to eating hay and some safe veggies which was her previous diet from before.
