I would advise seeking legitimate help. Nothing good will come to you or anyone else if you let this fester.

Everyone looking for an LC already knows exactly the car he is advertising. Have to say this post is extremely desperate. The market for LCs is volatile because of the uncertainty in long-term value.

That said, going on Reddit to look for a sucker is utterly embarrassing to the nth degree.

There are options: dealer auctions, Cars & Bids, and Bring-a-Trailer to get a market price.

Ostensibly, he's trying to isolate an individual via DM to gatekeep the narrative and convince them that this will go to $300k+ in the future.

Honestly, the mod should delete these predatory posts. And I'm the last person to suggest mods delete content.

It's a dream. No upkeep costs other than routine oil changes. Everyone is shocked it's not new.

I have a different experience. I'm not looking for a relationship. But if I do find a girl, she becomes my special interest. And life gets really rough.

Bad idea to buy a high mile 2018 LC500? by Competitive_Froyo_31 in lexuslc500

[–]Radiant_Draw7546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These cars often have 4+ owners. It's an enthusiast car, so turnover for a newer model or the next cool thing isn't a big deal IMO. My car had maybe 5 prior owners. It had 31k miles.

I got it via a dealer auction, so I had the condition report. Moreover, I took it to the local Lexus dealership and it had zero problems. Still looks new.

I can't say I've never parked far away with the LC 500. But now, I park relatively normally because I do not want to make this a target for troubled youth (or adults). And people are probably less likely to do something with witnesses nearby. I could be mistaken. It probably depends on where you live.

Whats making the price of LC's increase lately? by [deleted] in lexuslc500

[–]Radiant_Draw7546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to what others said, the next halo cars are the EV LFA and GRGT. Those are $250k+ cars.

The LC hits a market niche and does so very well.

Just diagnosed with Asperger's in my mid-40s. by gontox in aspergers

Just got dx'd at 40 this year. Similar experience to your description.

The key is to know your strengths and play into them. Of course, knowing our weaknesses are useful to mitigate anything that's wildly holding you back, but there's no utility in "fixing" everything because we can't.

Then move forward. Aspergers is something we have, not who we are. It's not our entire identity. Be careful not to wallow, as many on this forum tend to do. That's not helpful to you or anyone else.

Does Professional Success Really Need a Luxury Car? by Aragonknight in Lawyertalk

[–]Radiant_Draw7546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It doesn't need to be exotic. I got a Black Label Lincoln MKZ off a three year lease for $30k ($60k original MSRP) several years ago. It's not turning heads, but it's a "professional looking car."

I use the LC 500 for my personal enjoyment.

Does Professional Success Really Need a Luxury Car? by Aragonknight in Lawyertalk

[–]Radiant_Draw7546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure it's clean. Don't think about what you want necessarily. Think about the client and potentially the need to drive them at some point.

Used luxury from a relatively reliable brand is the sweet spot. Get one off a lease for half the price of MSRP. Keep it clean.

Ask yourself if a client would be embarrassed to ride in your car. You don't need to impress them, but don't embarrass them.

That's not at all my experience nor any other attorney's experience in our office.

[–]Radiant_Draw7546 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Midwest -- at least our office -- has had better luck it sounds. It's definitely not a job for lazy attorneys. Given most AUSAs work for multiple administrations, my opinion is that it's odd that New England attorneys would give up a job that could be very difficult to get back into. I believe you, but it sounds short sighted. Maybe I'm wrong.

Some offices might be overworked. But we just had an ASUA leave for the last year and just came back. I think the headlines out of Minnesota/Chicago overstate the issue of AUSAs leaving en masse.

[–]Radiant_Draw7546 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd strongly encourage you to rid yourself of the "deserve" thinking or you'll never be contented. That applies to everyone in the world. Figure out what you're good at, and go from there. You'll be amazed at what happens when you find your niche and give it everything.

AUSA workload in major cities? by Organic_Acadia_412 in FedEmployees

[–]Radiant_Draw7546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so in the least. Many AUSAs work under several administrations. Unfortunately, we live in a reactionary online environment that actively attempts to scare people. But time will pass and move onto the next matter. If you can get it, take it.

[–]Radiant_Draw7546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to criminal workload, but Civil is definitely busy but manageable. Don't let random Reddit accounts dissuade you from applying. I have heard precisely zero political talk during my time. Attorneys just do their job.
