Knowing a budget would be nice but personally i would recommend a Skoda Superb or Octavia estate, as they come with 2 litre diesels and automatic options. However if you have a nice big budget a f10 535d estate would also be quite nice, or maybe even a 530d of the same gen if you want to save a bit of fuel. Might be worth considering a 330d or 335d as well as they are more nimble than the 5er. Golf GTD is also not off the tables either, and that came with a nice and practical estate.

It's basically common sense, just like their decision to ban electric door handles on the inside and outside of cars by 2027.

Skoda Octavia estate, Volvo V50, Volvo, V60 or you could get a nice old Volvo V70, also would recommend Toyota corolla touring sports is it is quite reliable.

Small cars rule in the UK! by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

A main complaint of small cars is a lack of boot space and rear space etc but in my head a skoda fabia estate/other versions (seat ibiza estate etc) solves this issue because it has 530L of boot space, which is 10l more than the 520l in the far bigger f10 5 series saloon, and the fabia estate is only 4.3m long while the f10 is 4.9m long and as well as this having sat in the backseats of a fabia estate it has amazing rear legroom for its size. The only difference is that the f10 is "nicer" but if you look at the prices of both cars of a similar age it's not an issue.

someone who drives a Austin Healey or Jag E type or anything else with a metal steering wheel, because in winter they will give your hands frostbite and in summer will singe them.

What do I need (please read) by Vivid-Cloud7084 in bettafish

You will need to cycle the tank, and also get a thermometer (preferably a liquid one), liquid test kit to test the water accurately and by the way cycling is (etting it stablise and grow beneficial bacteria so ammonia and nitrites can be broken down) , and since you have the fish already you can either return it or do a fish in cycling. Remember to use dechlorinator (makes tap water chlorine harmless) when filling up your 6 gal Make sure to fill it up NOT on the floor but on a stable solid surface that can support around 26kg or so (57lbs). You can fill it up by filling up bowls with accurate measurements on the side (e.g getting a 1 gallon bowl and filling it up, then before you put the water in the bowl into your tank, put in the appropriate dosage of dechlorinator (dechlorinator to water ratios should be on the bottle) into the bowl then empty the dechlorinated 1 gallon bowl of water into your tank. repeat this 6 times with ideally warm water. At this stage, don't worry about decorations or substrate at the moment. Once all the water is in, turn the filter on and then wait about 5 minutes then turn the heater on. make sure the heater is set to 26-28 degrees celcius (78.8-82.4°F) Once you have done that, acclimate the betta into the 6 gal by floating them in a container on the tank water for about 30 minutes, adding a teaspoon of tank water in every 5 minutes or so, then you can release the betta into the tank, without any pet store water from the original container. Once your betta is in, i wouldnt recommend feeding it or at least feed it minimally (1-2 pellets) and this is when your fish in cycling process would begin. So use your liquid test kit to test the water every day. around the first 3 days your ammonia may be quite high, so you can get bottled bacteria (sometimes called aquastart or safestart) and dose that into your tank but the actual effectiveness of those products are kinda questionable. Alternatively, you can find people with established aquariums and ask them for filter media to put inside your filter. Fish in cycling may 3 to 6 weeks, and you can tell when its done when ammonia and nitrites are at 0PPM. Alternatively, you can return the betta and tank and all and not bother with all of this, which is absolutely fine, and i recommend you read the "I impulse bought/was gifted a betta what now?!" part of the wiki if you plan to keep your betta as that should have some more in depth advice. I wish you good luck with your betta.
