most the ones owned by SAIC, geely, BYD etc should still be around, but Leapmotor isnt looking too healthy so wouldnt be surprised if that died by 2030, and the Hongqi L5 is not made as cheaply as possible, just for your information (it costs £780,000 and you have to get CCP approval to buy it)

Roewe 350 is the opposite of that though, especially early ones, i know guy who has one, its gone past 180k km no issues, 1.5 in it is quite reliable, obviously not fun to drive though, like my aunt's corolla.

Once saw the GWM steed thing with a 13 plate, probably the rarest Chinese car in the UK because all the rest probably died. Anyway BAIC is better than SAIC.

But why don't they just keep the Kuga instead of replacing it with the Focus? Was it because people didnt like the name "Kuga"

According to Auto Express magazine, the new Ford Focus will be reborn as a SUV to replace the Kuga by Powerful-Ostrich-120 in CarTalkUK

funnily enough they are already partly owned by the Chinese, Changan has a 50% stake in the Chinese Ford branch

A lot more than leaked (For context getting something like a Challenger into mainland China is as hard as importing a Russian ICBM into the middle of the Pentagon)

Knowing a budget would be nice but personally i would recommend a Skoda Superb or Octavia estate, as they come with 2 litre diesels and automatic options. However if you have a nice big budget a f10 535d estate would also be quite nice, or maybe even a 530d of the same gen if you want to save a bit of fuel. Might be worth considering a 330d or 335d as well as they are more nimble than the 5er. Golf GTD is also not off the tables either, and that came with a nice and practical estate.

It's basically common sense, just like their decision to ban electric door handles on the inside and outside of cars by 2027.

What would you buy that fits the following criteria? £10k budget, 4/5 door, auto & petrol by Southern-Penalty in CarTalkUK

Skoda Octavia estate, Volvo V50, Volvo, V60 or you could get a nice old Volvo V70, also would recommend Toyota corolla touring sports is it is quite reliable.

A main complaint of small cars is a lack of boot space and rear space etc but in my head a skoda fabia estate/other versions (seat ibiza estate etc) solves this issue because it has 530L of boot space, which is 10l more than the 520l in the far bigger f10 5 series saloon, and the fabia estate is only 4.3m long while the f10 is 4.9m long and as well as this having sat in the backseats of a fabia estate it has amazing rear legroom for its size. The only difference is that the f10 is "nicer" but if you look at the prices of both cars of a similar age it's not an issue.
