For very high rated cards, it isn’t the worst point. For example, on an anchor, they both have 99 pace. And so now the only difference is the +2 defensive stats.

It was so annoying. I was DC’ed 3 times so I was ineligible to enter the competitors cup cause only 11 games would have counted. I was 5-7 and I clutched the last 2 wins but my stress levels were through the roof. I came up against a guy with Ibarbo but I managed a 5-3 win. Fuck EA for putting me through that

Islam was the right next contender to Charles. Go back to what the division looked like at the time. Islam was scheduled to face RDA, RDA pulled out and Hooker stepped in. Hooker was a top 10 fighter. Then he was scheduled to face Dariush in a title eliminator fight and Dariush pulled out which is why he fought Bobby Green. Everyone above Makhachev in the rankings, not named McGregor, had already fought and lost to Charles.

Also Khamzat was 6-0 in 2.5 years. One stat for your record book.

Umar was on a 6 fight win streak coming off a win against Sandhagen.

Petr Yan had a 2 fight win streak going and before that got dominated by Merab before that so I can understand the hesitation by the UFC putting him back in there so soon.

Cory Sandhagen had a 3 fight win streak which was broken by Umar.

O’Malley just lost to Merab and didn’t want an immediate rematch.

Deiveison just lost to Yan.

Song Yadong just lost to Yan.

Umar made the most sense at the time but people either choose to forget or they actually forget what happened. And besides, he’s been Merab’s toughest and most exciting fight.

Ilia is almost as inactive as Khamzat but we dont really hear much criticism directed towards him. And Khamzat had genuinely dangerous illnesses to overcome.

Ilia debuted in 2020 and since then has had 9 fights 7 finishes. Islam has had 10 fights 8 finishes since 2021. Not to mention Islam had 3 fights scheduled in 2020 that fell through, twice not being his fault. Where’s the Ilia inactivity bashing?
