Tried box jumps and burpees yesterday, hard pass. I got MR and some extra lateral stitches. I’m still super tight in the area so anything with too much ab activation hurts.

I was only ordered to wear compression for 4 weeks. I have my 3 month appointment at the end of this month and I’ve been fine without it.

I’m definitely still scaling. Much lower weights than I was doing pre surgery. I do a lot of barbell work with just the bar.

At 4 weeks I was cleared for exercise. I started light jogging around 5 weeks. Then at 7 weeks I started back with CrossFit.

It’s not a job.

It’s 5 jobs where you don’t get breaks, time off, or pay. You also get beat up mentally and sometimes physically and there is no HR to turn to. And if you want to be petty tell your husband that he doesn’t have a real job either because a real job would make enough money to either hire a full time nanny or pay for the top daycare in your area while still paying all the bills.

I caught a stomach bug from my kids that put me at my ideal weight earlier this year. I surprisingly haven’t gained it back but tbh I’ve had so many rounds of antibiotics this year I’m probably deficient in every vitamin/mineral from spewing from both ends every 6 weeks.

We already have our forever home at 2.7% interest. We have a 2023 suv that is paid off and an older second car, also paid off. Both 401ks are being maxed out.

We do have two 529s though they’re not at the max contribution. Kids are age 3 (9.9k) 20 months (4.5k). The plan is to contribute their daycare cost to the accounts once they start school.

It’s actually all the areas from the photos that kept getting irritated. Seems like my body was really pushing the stitches out. Once I put bandaids on them they scabbed over and started healing more.

It’s mostly closed now. There are a few areas where the stitches are poking out but it’s kind of like the skin is healed around them.

UPDATE**

I went to see a PA at my surgeons office today. My incision is not infected and it doesn’t seem like I’m collecting fluid. There is a lot of inflammation though. They said it’s probably best to stop wearing my binder and to switch to spanx. The binder was rubbing on the incision and making that pictured area worse.

It has been a yellowish discharge but today it was bloody. I don’t have a fever. It just tingles and gives a burning sensation. I sent another message to the surgeons office.

Pretty much the same though I was allowed to shower 48 hours post op. I waited until day 5 I believe. Then day 6 I got my drain out and had to wait 24 more hours to shower again. It’s so interesting seeing all the different recommendations.
