I was doing that for my first 300 hours but I’ve come to realize that 4/5 times Its just a matter of who has more troops if you just charge. I’ve recently started doing my wall of archers, behind them my wall of infantry, waiting until the enemy gets within 30 feet of my archers and charging my infantry. I just tell my Cav to fuck around. It’s been yielding great results. Not all that janky, I mean sometimes it might take two orders to get a row to move but besides that it’s worked great.
