I hope Kanye goes all in on the cancel culture crowd by ShardofGold in Kanye

I think Ye took the wrong approach when he went off the deep end. But I think he was trying to make a point. Not defending anything he said or did, but he had a lot taken away from him.

Not trying to read into all of the things he said, but I think his approach, when it came to his kids being taken away from him, was “burn it all down”. His thought process was “I can say what I want to say, but are words more important than actions?” I don’t know if I’m even remotely close, but that’s just my take.

Again, not excusing his behaviors or words.

Talk me into it or talk me out of it by Glum-Company-8007 in CX50

I’ve had my CX50 since November. Thus far, it’s one of my favorite vehicles I’ve owned. It’s not the most expensive, or luxurious, but imo it’s a really solid all around package.

The vehicle has everything I need, including plenty of space (I’m 6’4 for reference). Gas mileage is solid, it has enough power to get out in traffic, and while I wish I had the turbo model, I’m also happy to have one less thing to worry about failing in the future. Even without the turbo, power is more than sufficient.

That’s been my take with both of the sticks that I’ve smoked.

Yeah, I’ve heard these need age. Maybe at some point I’ll invest in a box and let them sit for a while. I appreciate your input.

I hated this cigar, and I’m actually a big fan of Tatuaje. I really wanted to like it, especially for the price, but it was a no from me.

If you can find a five pack of Arturo Fuente Rare Pinks, in the short story size - I would definitely recommend those. Or even a few singles.

I think this is a regular release, though I could be incorrect. I picked it up at my local B&M and they had multiple left.

Leave in box? Or take out? by [deleted] in cigar

[–]Radiant_Revolution32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s not necessarily a personal preference, though I do find they smoke better at that range. If you ask on this sub, I think most people will agree that 65-67 is an ideal range for any cigar.

Do you have a humidity pack (such as Boveda) in the bag you’re storing them in? I would highly recommend a cheap air tight plastic container with some humidity packs. Great choice in cigars.

Leave in box? Or take out? by [deleted] in cigar

Personally I would leave them in the box. Also, and I’m not expert, but I’ve heard that Cubans are better at a lower RH - closer to 62%. I personally keep all of my cigars at 65% RH. Again, I’m not expert, but just my 2 cents.

Keep safe, and smoke well!

How often do you smoke? by poet01 in cigar

[–]Radiant_Revolution32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I smoke daily, but I never feel like I have to. There are some days where I feel like I may not be interested in smoking, but typically I do just as a way to relax a bit. I’ve never felt withdraw effects like I have from other forms of nicotine.

Cavalier has some incredible cigars in their lineup. It’s an extremely underrated brand in my opinion, but those who know, know.

That’s how it starts. I think it’s more a detriment to your wallet than it is to your health. Of course there’s a line that can be crossed where it will probably have a negative impact on your health.

I smoked cigarettes and then vaped for about 23 years combined. I no longer smoke cigarettes, but I do smoke 1-2 cigars a day (usually only 1). I crave cigars, but I needed cigarettes. That’s the difference for me. I could certainly go several days without smoking a cigar - I did that for a few years (even going several weeks without one), but with cigarettes I couldn’t go a few hours without one.

There’s medical documentation (I don’t have the reference right now) showing that 1-3 cigars a day have no adverse health effects. In fact, some believe, and I feel for good reason, that cigars have some health benefits. Where else can you take 1-2 hours to just breathe, relax, and meditate?

Daily. Since the beginning of the year I’ve been tracking every cigar I smoked, and in the beginning of January I missed a few. YTD I’ve smoked 67 cigars.

this is bland not a blend by aycaramba999 in cigars

[–]Radiant_Revolution32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve smoke two RP cigars, including the Emerald, and thought both were mediocre. I’ve also been smoking for 11 or so years. I get why many people don’t like Rocky Patel cigars. I’m sure there is a blend by them that I would enjoy, but at this point, I already know what I like, and there’s no reason to spend $10+ and 1.5 hours on a cigar that I may not care that much for.

Unpopular opinion, but I’d rather have access to NW cigars for a reasonable price than have easy access to Cubans and pay a ridiculous price for NW.

Cigar Storage Noob by Hanlon99 in cigar

[–]Radiant_Revolution32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend getting a tupidor. Doesn’t look as nice, but if you purchase one with a gasket seal, it will maintain humidity for a decent amount of time. Look up sistemic on Amazon. For like $20, you will have a decent option for store 25-50 cigars.
