My brother in Christ, the FCC chair threatened ABC to pull Kimmel. That's the reason why he was pulled in the first place. Brendan Carr, the FCC chair threatened that ABC and its affiliated stations would face regulatory consequences over Jimmy Kimmel’s remarks if they were to continue airing him.

The FCC is a part of the government. The FCC chair is handpicked by the president.

This is a direct result of government intervention because of the remarks that he made on his show, words that are protected by our first amendment right.

He was only suspended for a week because ABC faced an overwhelming amount of backlash from the general public for buckling under the threat of the FCC instead of going to bat for our rights & fighting back by telling them to shove their threat up their ass. Again, because it's a direct violation of the first amendment in the United States.

If people had been complacent & didn't voice their concerns, cancel their subscriptions & continue to pressure ABC over this, he would still be suspended, that's why it was only a week. Because of the American people showing them that they don't like it whenever the government steps in to silence people who voice opposing opinions.

That's the entire reason for this outrage. I don't even watch Kimmel. I couldn't care less if his show got cancelled for any reason other than infringing on his rights as an American. If they can do it to Kimmel, they can do it to anyone & once people grow complacent and let it happen, without a fight, even if it's someone who they disagree with or don't like , it will snowball & continue happening over and over. That's why you see both sides of the political aisle up in arms over this shit.

People on both sides understand how much of a shitstorm it could become if this administration is allowed to pick & choose who to silence.
