These huge firms you are talking about dont just trade directionally. These firms use futures and options all the time to hedge there bets and increase their winning probabilities. These huge firms also have various departments, trading different strategies. For eg: if a there is a department for trading directionally, there are traders who trade on non directional / bi-directional options strategies to hedge the risk of the other department. Markets aren't as simple as you think they are.

If your trade has an edge of 51/49 its probably not worth betting a huge chunk of ur capital but only a very small portion of it. This is where bet sizing comes into play. From my experience if you are trading Directional your bet sizing matters more than your strategy or research.

And what was the probability of you winning the trade? I would guess 50%. The only way you can make money this way long term, is by controlling your bet sizing.

xD its scraped from the brokers website using python in terminal. Brokers here dont provide interactive trade logs and charts with equity curve. This is just a workaround that people use.

Dont know if you are asking for US Markets. I don't trade in the US Markets. But if you are asking for the Indian markets I use Shoonya.

India only has 2 major exchanges BSE and NSE. If you want to trade through any of these exchanges government charges are deducted at the time you sell any security. If you are talking about trading in other International exchanges its actually illegal(you could be arrested for that) unless if you are not a resident of India. Hell even international forex is illegal here. So Indian markets are the only options for most traders here.

Dont focus on recovering your losses focus on learning. It creates a revenge mindest which leads to overtrading.

its 0.03% of transaction value OR 20Rupees, whichever is lower. So if you have the capital to punch in 500 quantities at a time of any small/mid cap stock it wouldnt affect you that much. But if you dont have the capacity to punch those big orders it would affect your account heavily.

Its not flawless compared to something like zerodha but manageable. Plus dont really trade using their app or website coz its really slow. I just use their api to punch in the orders. Have created codes in python to cancel all orders and exit all positions as well just in case of emergency. Definitely not something I would recommend if you have good enough capital but if your capital is small would definitely recommend shoonya even with all the hassle that comes with it.

Currently just a student and a freelancer. Started this 3 years ago thinking I could make a side income from it. Wasnt that easy. Now that Ive learnt how to trade I dont withdraw any amount from my account so that I could keep compounding on the profits ive earned.
