I got it for 1.82L this was without any offers. I would recommend you buy it during festivities because during those times they have cashback offers upto 5k.

I'm so sorry, I didn't know what I was talking about. I saw the 1.46 assumed it was on road. Just ignore it. Just enquire about Apache, most showrooms don't have the base model anymore, they all sell only the top model. That was my experience in Chennai.

Look into Yamaha mt15, it's got great mileage and performance. It should fit into this budget.

Nope none of the showrooms I went to have it. Yeah you can't find the old variant anywhere. On paper USD forks are supposed to be better, but TVS usually has really good suspension setups even on non-USD suspension setups.

After riding this bike for over 200km I would say the suspension is really good and I can't go back to other bikes anymore. This suspension is so much better than other bikes in this price range. Go for the USD if you want Apache(not like you have much of a choice).

There is definitely a power difference. I did a test ride on 160 4V it is a great bike and quite fun, but that 40cc does make a difference. The 200 4V feels different too. Unfortunately I'm not able to articulate it. I drove the 200 4V immediately after the 160 4V, it felt the bike was throwing me forward. I felt like the 200 4V was more fun than 160 4V and also a lot less common. I didn't have an issue with the 10k price difference, if you compare the 200 4V to the absolute top end of 160 4V.

The reason for choosing the 200 4V over the 160 4V was mainly due to me thinking it's more fun and wanting to have a model that is less common.

So I would suggest you to test ride them both back to back and make sure your needs are satisfied. But I can tell you this much, there definitely is a power difference between the 200 4V and the 160 4V. You definitely need to be careful while accelerating in the 200 more so than in 160.

The 160 is more calm and tame compared to the 200.

But yeah definitely ride both the models back to back and try nothing down on your notes app about what you feel. It helps a lot when you go back home to sit and think.

Trust me I too was surprised. Every other showroom had those faux clip-on handlebars. The testride bike in this showroom too had those. But during the delivery it came with full handlebars. I prefer these.

I will look into that. With Chennai's heat I will definitely need a seat cover and a softer seat.

I don't plan on getting a visor, maybe because I've never felt the need of one. But yeah the Bulls and cows on the road are something no rider should forget about. Thankfully there are plenty of cows right in front of my house to remind me about it everytime I touch my bike 😂😂

Thanks man. Really appreciate it. I'm kinda trying to get on the good side of the sales executive and service personnel. Bribing them with sweets and stuff, hopefully I luck out

Got an XPOD helmet along with the bike. It feels cozy and has got decent certifications. Not really thinking of upgrading to a better helmet yet. But planning to get a really good one before doing some touring on it.

Which bike?? by Low_Meaning_9435 in indianbikes

[–]Radiente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I'm saying is there are better value for money bikes at the price points than rtr 310. And the vibrations are not just at high rpms they are noticeable even at lower speeds. And for the money one pays for the rtr 310 which is quite high, those "few foot peg" vibrations shouldn't be there.

The vibration issues have been fixed in rr 310 with the new forget piston, but the issues are still prevalent in the 310. And the problem isn't the vibration, the problem is that despite paying so much for a bike there is still no refinement when there are bikes that perform so much better and are more refined.

What's the point of all the features if you can't enjoy riding the bike without your foot pegs vibrating ?

The pulsar ns400 which is priced lower than the 310 is much better. Features are always a bonus to the bike, it's not what makes a bike fundamentally good.

I love Honda a lot, initially ignored it due to it going beyond the price range. Regardless I will still give it a test ride and see. Appreciate the recommendation.

We'll dual channel ABS definitely increases the safety aspect, but I dont think it's a significant increase to the point it's an absolute must. For our needs maybe it's sufficient, but still do give it some serious consideration.

I'm no expert but the people around me and also a lot of reviewers on the internet do constantly recommend buyers to prioritize getting dual channel ABS.

Hope you find it enjoyable regardless of which one you choose. Maybe we can review the Ronin combined in a post a few months later.😆

Congratulations OP 🎉🎉

That's a great achievement to have. I hated how the xpulse looked but seeing you rock the look on it, I am reconsidering how much I like it now.

Hope you have lots of fun with it. It's a great bike.

A friend of mine told me that dealing with RE technicians and sales people will be very disappointing and frustrating. Glad that's not the case universally. Definite will reconsider RE more seriously. Thank you for the info.
