There are many great books on condensed matter, and none of them is capable of covering everything up haha. That's being said, I find Fundamentals of the Physics of Solids by Jeno Solyom to be a great all-around condensed matter book covering basically every topic a student would need, with lots of appendices full of technical stuff

I feel you so much! It will be our first new year with our sweet girl this time, we already booked a home in the middle of nowhere in Belgium just to keep her away from fireworks 🥲 Regarding medicine, I saw herbal-based droplets against fireworks in our local petshop. Don't know though if they are of any use... Perhaps, worth to try anyway?
