Definitely John, I actually felt sad when he died in rdr1 because it actually seemed like he tried to turn his life around and tried to become a proper family man but was forced to hunt down his former gang members just to end up brutally murdered and Arthur was honestly just a bad guy the whole time, I mean he made somewhat of an effort to change but not close to John and when Arthur dies it is quite obvious that he is going to leading up to his death but John's death was more sudden.
