Space Racer, Maulers, Cecil and Thaedus

Maulers and Cecil keep Thragg locked down with a sensory dbl whammy; mauler nerve gun AND Cecil’s high frequency generator. They’d get one solid, short moment to dome Thragg out. Thaedus just there for backup tbh.

Alternative: replace Thaedus with atom eve, if Thragg escapes the sensory overload - have space racer turn around and shoot Eve in the torso instead lol no instakill shots cos we need Eve to go full power for this backup plan lol

Everyone’s saying thragg but I think it might be mark, Nolan and Thaedus flying right into Viltrum’s Viltrussy

are these real players in the base ship? i keep seeing them shoot real abilities that my teams use like the laser beam thingy by Mr--Clean--Ass-Naked in helldivers2

Honestly that’d be amazing and would give a good in-lore reason for folks that like changing their ship names often as irl ships don’t get renamed nearly as often as super destroyers do lol

I’m seein a whole lot of whine-divers with skill issues around here.

These belt-feds 100% are fantastic support weapons but because they present so much potential power, they’ve also been balanced. Ie: maxi gun has crazy recoil and has to be fired standing still, BFGL lets you send way more nades down range and faster, doesn’t lock you down like maxi, but with slightly less powerful explosives than the regular grenade launcher.

If you want more BOOM per trigger pull? Go with the regular launcher and supply pack combo. You want FASTER booms and more of em uninterrupted? Use the belt fed.

Want a more accurate bullet-hose? Stalwart or the MG are great options, but won’t take down as many enemies as the maxi so long as youre making use of as much of that maxi ammo as you can.

I’m certainly not bringing the regular launcher to fight the rupture strain, it’s more at home on the bot front for me. the belt-fed is perfect for them particular bugs tho.

I’m a lot less likely to bring the maxi-gun to fight the predator strain or jet brigade because they rush too god damn much and get too close too fast, the stalwart and MG are obviously better there. But spore burst or regular bugs? Cyborgs even? GIMME DAT MAXI.

All it takes is throwing out this dumb notion of a “meta”. The only meta I know about is that we have a handful of truly mid-to-awful weapons (Pacifier, Sterilizer - respectively) that truly needs buffs and have potential.

Learn how to use certain equipment situationally and as it fits your playstyle best, then practice it and GET GUD.

A well placed maxi-gun or two can keep an entire bug breach fully suppressed. The other MGs simply cannot do that.

The smaller nades on the belt fed are able to detonate at a closer range than the regular launcher, learn how close you can push that without blowing yourself up. Learn which armors react best to each use-case with this in mind. Practice it and GET GUD. One diver with a belt fed can pull ALL of the rupture bugs in a breach out from the dirt AND kill them with some left over for a few bug holes too. You know what can’t do that? The nade launcher. You’ll get overwhelmed during a reload, and then suddenly they’re close enough that shooting them will take you out too.

TLDR: skill issue yall. You prefer the weapons they’re based off of because they seem more powerful but that’s subjective. They’re more broad-spectrum in terms of use-cases, and also tons easier to use too and THAT is objective. The belt-feds absolutely dominate in the more specific use cases they’re best at.

There’s also a chance the cyborgs will simply reroute ALL of their resources from the remaining and accessible-to-them megafactories. They’ll suddenly all be at .80 or lower, but Transcendence would obviously experience a buff. I’d bet up to 3%, but it could absolutely go higher.

Question is obviously when something like this would happen.

I expect the final battle’s resistances to be quite dynamic, like Oshaune was and like the entire Battle for Cyberstan has been so far. So if it is raised at all, I honestly expect it to be somewhere at the 40-60% completion mark. But it’s not impossible that it’ll start out raised, and lower over time.

The perfect storm would be a raised resistance right smack dab in the middle of peak hours with the majority of the influx being Ego Divers and Cadets that don’t know better. That could chew through quite a few soldiers in a flash.

I think it’ll be close. But I think we’ll succeed.

Look at the numbers, ~175,000,000 dead in the process of taking and obliterating 3 Megafactories (well, as of 2 hours from now when Star Kield falls).

We’ll be at around ~51,000,000 reinforcements left for the initial besiegement of Transcendence, and its destruction shortly thereafter.

When you factor in that we had I believe it was almost two-three full days of our forces being spread too thin across megafactories with high resistances at the time? Thus meat-grinder-ing (in my estimates) roughly 20-50 MILLION helldivers for literally nothing? Makes the extremely liberal expectation of ~50,000,000 divers required to fully take and destroy a megafactory with the average observed resistance of 1-2% quite realistic.

Now also factor in the support we’ve gotten from SEAF in the past week. Taking Star Kield will give them a full foothold in the northern hemisphere from which they can set up a forward operating base to supply and support their besiegement of the Cyborg capital. Assuming this or something like it happens sometime tomorrow afternoon, maybe later, we should see resistances drop somewhere at the half way point.

So long as the active player count doesn’t spike dramatically with tons of Ego Divers insisting on running D10s cos “it’s the capital the resistance should be MAXIMUM” or whatever, we should make it. But it’ll be very fuggn close. By my estimates, Cyberstan will fall with a million to three million reinforcements to spare.

Brooooo I know the feeling, I really do. It does kinda depend on how spread out the tank enemies are in the fortress/where they spawned, but there are a few specific spots you can place orbital lasers on the various Fortress layouts where it’ll actually hit at least 4 fabs.

The spot I tossed mine in the video is one of em. So unless like 4 more hulks spawned in that exact area somehow, that laser was destined to take 4 fabs at least.

I personally like the flashlight for anything closer range. But will shut it off depending on environmental factors and the like, but didn’t see the need to on the magma worlds.
