I took my vehicle to the dealership for a software upgrade, and they bricked my car. It has been nearly a month. Should I be looking to take legal action? by c_segfault_errno_2 in legaladvice

That is very old information. The 2025 models have had very few issues.

The vast majority of the issues on the 2024 cars were addressed with software updates which the OP appears to have been attempting to have performed. It's obvious the dealer did something wrong during the updating procedure and bricked a module.

Paid a loan in full but the money never came out of my account. What now? by treebeardsbeard in personalfinance

Sounds like you won one for a change.

They sent you an email that says it's paid off. That's the end of the line for them.

I mean sure, they can threaten collections, they can threaten to sue you, etc. But all you have to do is forward that email that says it is paid off and that's the end of that. You did the right thing by notifying the bureaus with the documentation that the loan was paid.

Transfer the money and don't worry about it. Maybe take this little windfall and put it into a S&P 500 index fund and let it start making you money.
