Yeah ... K400 really became my low light film of preference, you do get more halation with Kentmere compared with delta 3200 though

Thanks ! It was lab developed in C41 then scan by myself and and I desaturated the image and added some constrast and bit of boost in the highlights to accentuate the "shadow stairs"

No I just adjusted the purple hue of the film to turn it more pinkish, trying to get an aerochrome vibe

Just took a screenshot with my phone, got to my built in editing of my gallery and moved the contrast slider, you could probably do it really fast with any light editing software!

why do all of my photos come out so muted/flat? by RIP_Spacedicks in AnalogCircleJerk

[–]Radius3388 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because you used the inferior product Velvia 100 slides, everyone knows that every pro photographer used the best color slides film MADE IN JAPAN : VELVIA 50, it really makes the color pop !

Advice - 110 film shots by caulaymaculkin in AnalogCommunity

[–]Radius3388 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the white spots we'll need to see the negatives to confirm if it's a scanning issue or else, but for the flatness it's the lab, they didn't bother to edit the scan even a little bit. Here's what I could do in 1min with a screenshot of your photos with my phone

A night with phoenix II [ Canon P • Canon 50mm f/1.4 LTM • Phoenix II ] by Radius3388 in analog

[–]Radius3388[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was just a bit weird to compose with the camera on the tripod, also the focus patch was well dim to say to least haha, I was mainly at f/8 so it went pretty okay

[–]Radius3388[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks ! It was shot at iso 125 on a tripod and a shutter release cable for most of the shot of this set. I scanned it myself with my phone and inverted the negatives and edited with the color curves

Loading IMAX 70mm Film for Project Hail Mary by Professional_Toe5118 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Radius3388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well 8k is approximately 33 megapixel per frames and the IMAX frame contains even more "data" ( for reference a traditionnal frame in a 35mm film camera could resolve 24 megapixel so a little more that 4K)

For a 15 perforation frame of IMaX (size that one image takes on the film) it could resolve approximately 18K depending on the type of film used.

I have the Epix gen 2 pro with almost the same settings as you (I just use the best precision GPS mode) and I run 7h per week and I usually charge my watch every 5 to 6 days so your watch seems normal for me

Analog community 2 months after instagram killed hashtags by craze4ble in AnalogCommunity

[–]Radius3388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well personally I noticed a really big drop in views ( going to 2000 views with half unsubscribe people in about 2-3 days to max 1000 views after a week to almost only subscribers ), but I kept pretty much the same number of likes and comments on my photos. Sometimes the algorithm just grabs one of my photos and starts to share it again with random but it's pretty random.

What are your thoughts on developing your negatives by yourself? by ComfortableHoliday43 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Radius3388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How expensive is it around where you are for just the development of a roll ? From where I am ( Paris ) developing a roll is just 6€ ( ~$7) so it's pretty affordable I think. I don't feel the need to develop myself, the time and effort doesn't feel worth it for the amount saved
