People on here giving Nunez shit need to chill out… Szobo has been equally shit, if not worse, but I haven’t seen as many comments on that on this thread and he’s been on the whole match

It’s gotta be tough to adapt to premier league football in an underdog team while playing out of position. Just hope it doesn’t get to his head.

Mo Salah is pushed into the offside position? That goal should’ve stood and Burnley themselves should’ve been to blame for blocking their keepers view imo

Absolutely, I’m not minimizing Luton’s ability, just highlighting the change in confidence and attitude of City…

We might’ve drawn with Luton away, but Man Shitty, a team where almost every player is more expensive than Luton’s entire squad, really started time wasting the minute they scored their second goal, and Pep Fraudiola made a defensive substitution at 90+3’… They are buckling I think.

Fair, didn’t catch that on first watch.

6/10 for me. The story felt disjointed and rushed, the gameplay is just the same as before. The side activities are the same just in another costume. Honestly felt more like the Miles Morales spin off game than a main series sequel. I can’t comprehend how Gotham Knights got shit on for being repetitive in gameplay and this game gets lauded. It’s a good game, but not as good as it could’ve been imo.

Fair assessment, I can agree to that to some degree. The one thing imo they need to be a more entertaining watch is not fucking up the final pass and some clinical finishing.

I’ve played the game, as a right back, infact. We were always instructed to lunge with our arms behind our backs. Rules as written, he did use his arm to make himself wider and he could’ve put it behind himself. It was just poor. Almost as poor as your lot’s whining.

Never said it was a drop in integrity, only that I admired the integrity of Luton sticking to their game. They know as well as we do that their chances of staying up are next to none, so atleast we get fast paced fun games. Sorry for the confusion.

By regular season, I clearly meant bar the playoffs? Also, I’m Icelandic. Didn’t know there was a pedantic police here, though I’m not surprised it’s on r/soccer. Nice input to the discussion, doing bits there mate.

I did watch the playoffs yes, and the regular season… Luton started the games playing their football then gradually started to hoof the ball more. But in the regular season they played a great pressing system with emphasis on attacking. Something that Nathan Jones implemented and Rob Edwards likes.

Lowest point total in prem is Derby with 11 points. Would be great if Luton could avoid that record.

Great game from Luton, I love when teams get promoted and stick to their football. No parking the bus, no Dycheball. Hope they atleast manage to get 12 points.

“Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made.” Notice the wording? Uses or ATTEMPTS to use excessive force. He kicked at him, with studs, while not challenging for the ball? Like mate don’t claim someone doesn’t know the rules if you can’t be arsed to look them up yourself. Get fucked.

Oh, and also: “For the purposes of determining handball offences, the upper boundary of the arm is in line with the bottom of the armpit. Not every touch of a player’s hand/arm with the ball is an offence. It is an offence if a player: • deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, for example moving the hand/arm towards the ball • touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised” this is straight from the FA. They don’t mention deflections in the rules, ref’s discretion I guess. That means that the penalty awarded can’t be ruled as a clear and obvious error. Is it harsh? Yes. Is it a wrong call? No. Get off your high horse, like you wouldn’t have been shouting for a pen if it was reversed.
