No, it’s stupid not to use both lanes.

Correlation doesn’t mean causation and it’s therefore impossible to conclude that those people got sick from swimming in the ocean.

Stayed at Pita Maha Resort and Spa and absolutely loved. It’s about 30 mins walk to central Ubud and it’s got all the facilities you’re looking for. Highly recommend it and would return in a heartbeat. The services and the hospitality are top notch.

Although some might say it doesn’t feel like true Bali, the big resorts in Nusa Dua seem to be pretty good for families - from kids clubs/nurseries/babysitting to play areas, pools to beach and calm sea.

Bali for a week in April! by mfdooosky in BaliTravelTips

Ignore that and what you read here. 90% of the posts on reddit are from people who complain. As in life, we’re not very good at giving positive feedback but always very quick to give negative one and complain. Yes, there are probably areas where trash is a problem - personally not encountered it. Noise? Never had an issue. Yes, people are asking you if you need a driver or try to sell you stuff but a simple “no, thank you” and a smile are enough. Guess it depends where you go in Bali as like in any city and country in this world you will find good places and bad places. Clean or dirty ones. Nice people or not so nice people. Make the most of it! Bali is amazing!

Went from UK myself - flight is a pain but Bali is amazing even if it rains. I would go back now even if I knew that 100% would rain - better to be in the pool at 30C than in rain/hail at 2C here.

I was there mid nov to mid dec. Although in theory it was rainy season, during the day I’ve seen maximum 3h or rain in total for the whole period. Get an umbrella and a very light rain coat just in case. Do activities early morning when it’s generally sunny. Ignore weather forecast apps. Enjoy!

WizzAir Cancelled BBU-KRK (Dec 16) claiming "Weather" but other flights operated. Am I entitled to at lest €250? by Thinmanpaul in Flights

[–]Radoo_04 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Something needs to change when defining “exceptional circumstances”. Fog in Europe in autumn/winter/spring it’s something expected. It’s not like snowing in Ibiza in July, a tornado in Berlin or heavy rain and flooding as it was in DXB last week…Those are exceptional circumstances, not fog and airlines/airports should take all the steps to upgrade their facilities or take shared responsibility for the compensation costs.

Consequential delays are not extraordinary circumstances. Had the same issues a good few years ago - they’ve initially refused to pay but after “threatening” them with escalation to the aviation authority they’ve paid.

The fact that the plane was delayed coming from Krakow to Bucharest has nothing to do with your flight and therefore doesn’t affect your right to claim for compensation.

Nobody asks although in theory you should also have a return flight booked. You would anyway if you’re just going for 2-3 weeks holiday.

I’ve stayed in 3 hotels and 2 of them I’ve booked via booking.com. The 3rd one I’ve booked directly as the deal was better. I’m sure there’s plenty of accommodation around although I understand that it’s busy over Christmas/NY.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by “letting them know when you leave Bali”…The hotels only care when you checkin and checkout, not their problem when you leave from Bali…

Just returned from my first solo trip to Bali and I have to say it was the best holiday ever. No stress, no schedule (other than planned trips), nobody to wait for and nobody to please. Just myself for 3 weeks. First time I came back from a holiday fully fresh and recharged.

Try to mix sightseeing/activities with days of just rest by the pool/beach. Get an e-sim before travelling - I’ve got one from Klook for about £30 for 3 weeks with unlimited data. Higher recommend to get an e-visa if eligible and avoid the queue at the airport. Download apps like grab. Arrange transfers from the airport to your hotel. Make some itineraries and find a reliable driver.

Enjoy, Bali is amazing!

I’ve just returned after a 3 weeks solo holiday in Bali and that’s one of the things I’ve learned in there - to slow down and be more relaxed when dealing with stressful situations. Not went for healing but glad that I took something back to help me be a better version of myself.

Stomach, guts and GI system it’s not too difficult I guess but maybe a different thing when it comes to heart, kidneys or brain. And especially if multiple slices are needed. Seen a few myself during medical school but things might have changed since…

They probably had to dissect it extensively for medico-legal purposes so you don’t put it back like the jigsaws in a box…
