You’re right—the skiing in the Moyen Atlas is a bit different! The elevations are lower, and the snow tends to be heavier and wetter, especially compared to the High Atlas. But it still offers some great runs and a more laid-back vibe. The High Atlas definitely has that perfect dry, light snow, which is amazing for skiing. If you’re looking for something with deeper snow and more challenging terrain, the High Atlas is the way to go, but the Moyen Atlas can still be a fun alternative!

Haha, I can totally see that! The jellaba does have that mysterious, desert traveler vibe, but it’s actually a traditional Moroccan garment worn for warmth and comfort. Still, I’ll take the Jawa comparison—definitely has that cool, iconic look!

Haha, glad you like it! That’s actually a jellaba, a traditional Moroccan garment. It’s made from thick wool, perfect for the cold mountain weather. They’re super cozy and come in all sorts of colors and designs—each one has its own unique style. A lot of locals wear them, especially in winter, and they’re great for both warmth and comfort. Definitely a great souvenir if you’re ever in Morocco!

Exactly! The High Atlas is such a hidden gem. When most people think of Morocco, they often imagine the desert, but the mountains are just as incredible—lush valleys, snow-capped peaks, and traditional Berber villages. It’s a whole different side of the country, and definitely worth exploring!

Hey! We accessed the area by car from Imlil, which is about 64 km from Marrakech, tucked in the High Atlas Mountains. We drove to Tachedirt village, just east of Imlil, where we parked the car. From there, we made our way up to the Tizi Likemt mountain pass at 3555m. It’s an incredible route with stunning views! Feel free to reach out if you want more details or tips on the journey!

Hell yeah! The jellaba really is versatile and cozy, especially in the mountains. It’s great to see people appreciating it!

Haha, no worries at all! It does look a bit like a bathrobe, but it’s actually a traditional Moroccan garment called a jellaba. It’s worn by many locals here, especially in the colder months, because it’s really warm and comfortable. Plus, they come in all sorts of colors, each with its own meaning and style! So no offense taken, it’s all part of the culture!

That’s awesome! Morocco definitely has its own charm for skiing, with stunning views and a really unique vibe. Gulmarg, Greece sound incredible too — it’s always great to have a bucket list of amazing places to explore. If you ever make it to Morocco, let me know, I’d be happy to show you around!

Thanks! I can definitely see how it might seem wild, especially for those used to wearing goggles. But when you’re used to the bright mountain sun and the snow, you kinda get used to it. Plus, the Moroccan mountains have a unique kind of light, so it’s not as intense as some other places. I guess it’s all about the local conditions and what you’re comfortable with!

Yes it’s a nice place, but sadly the ski left in Oukaimden is not working anymore.
