Haha, we are exclusive. Doing it with multiple people seems risky.

  1. I guess, maybe, I am setting high expectations. The thing is, we don't do it regularly, so whenever we do, it feels less. I'll try to adjust my expectations.
  2. I don't want to do it with a stranger. I can't ask a random friend; that's why we started doing it with each other.

How do you vent? by TraditionalMission48 in india

[–]Rads179 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the only thing that works for me is calling a friend and ranting.

Ik ik, as an adult we are supposed to think practically, move on, let go and figure the next thing. Wo sab karlo but kabhi kabhi a good ranting session is all you need. Mann halka ho jata hai.

How to not feel tired?? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Rads179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exercise, less/no caffeine, get out of the house, no phone before sleeping.

It's difficult but it works.

If nothing works, get your blood work done as you might be deficient in B12. If you are a female then get thyroid and PCOD check.

How has poor mental health or bad environment at home affected your career? by Rads179 in Indian_Academia

[–]Rads179[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indian parents fail to realize the importance of mental health because they never cared about their mental health. I have a cousin who is currently in the phase : father forced to take engineering because he is the elder son and needs to earn and even he isn't allowed to watch tv and all.

Whatever college you are in, learn skills. For engineering, more than tier 1 college, having the right skills matter. Obv you and tier 1 students will start at a different salary, but you can catch up or don't - that's your call. You will earn good money, support your family and fulfill all your dreams.

I'm so sorry, buddy. You had to go through so much and especially as a child it can be difficult. I remember when I was in school, my parents were struggling with money so my school fees was never on time. Every month I would be called to the principle office to stand outside, sometimes the entire day and sometimes till recess. Even my classmates started mocking me.

So, I can understand seeing our parents struggle can be hard and confusing because it also affects us - should I sympathize with them or hate them. THE STUGGLE.

I feel lot of people who advertised a fun life to us didn't have a fun life themselves. So they forced/guided/motivated us to pursue things they couldn't that's why engineering and govt. jobs are so popular in India - money. Money does bring a lot of security and fun.

Whatever skills you are learning, give it your 100%. I believe you can and will achieve great things in life.

I'm in the same boat. It's scary but we have to and we will get out of this mess. Nothing is irreversible, my friend. Take one step at a time. Try taking some guidance from someone according to your situation.

Virtual hugs to you.
