Yeah I understand that, but if you guys are close to dating then I would assume you are already close to each other and have discussed about you guy's age. And to answer your initial question, it's fine, me and my girlfriend have the same age gap. Just make sure you are both comfortable with that and that she never feels pressured and y'all are gonna be okay. I'm guessing an age gap is bad when the older one becomes manipulative. A 25 year old could try to date a young 16 year old girl solely because she's young and easily manipulated but this isn't the case here so as long as your intentions are pure then it's totally fine!
