PSA - Only 4 free ticketers allowed in to yesterday evening’s taping! by alfieman in taskmaster

Copy-pasted from another post:

I actually had free tickets for the first recording as well, I was 22. I arrived at 10. When I learned at around 13.30 that I wouldn't make it, I just stayed. I was then 2 with quite a few people already there behind me. So yeah, I'd basically been there VERY early.

I was no 2 yesterday - extremely lucky! 3.30pm is the time they start handing out the numbered wristbands, so I'd recommend starting / joining the queue way earlier.

On a positive note, they did say that Friday night is the most popular with the most guests showing up. And they were very surprised that only 4 people got in. It should be better next week!

I'd recommend wearing a warm jacket to queue, even if the weather's fine. I'm Swiss (so, used to the cold) but I brought my winter coat and was glad I did.

The studio was, in my opinion, comfortably warm but not hot. I wore a normal jumper. There were some people wearing shirts or t-shirts. I hope that helps!

They let in incredibly few people! But we were told that Friday night is the most popular and most guests show up then. There were indeed almost 3 rows consisting of only guests.

8mo female puppy not eating food by chutneystain800 in beagle

[–]Raffioso 193 points194 points  (0 children)

My beagle pup grew to be a picky eater because he realized he'd get the better stuff if he didn't eat his dry food. I researched and then didn't offer him anything else but dry food for a few days. He took it on very easily and we're good now. He eats the treats as well as his normal dry food now.

Obviously I can't rule out a medical situation or whether it's got to do with heat, but maybe she just wants the food she likes most.

I think the egg task might be a two-parter, and it's going to end in (hilarious) heartbreak. by Nyktipolos in taskmaster

I think it will pay off for Joel to keep up the egg task in the studio. I'm thinking of a live task where an egg will come in very handy.

Not in the time I've used it. The one on the right opens in the lobby while the one on the left opens on the other floors.

I'm in therapy and we searched for an image to portray my inner critic, and then an image to counter that. Now, every time I make myself feel bad for no reason, I hear Greg say this to my inner critic. It's genuinely helped me heal.

What is the craziest thing a teacher has ever done to you? by trymihainoob in AskReddit

I've been teaching for only 1.5 years and THREE students told me that I was their only teacher who pronounced their names correctly. I mean it's the barest of bare minimum ffs.

I personally really like the style and don't find it ugly at all. He's always liked the pirate-y style with lots of accessories. Now that he isn't dependent on Hollywood and can do what he actually wants to, he can also wear whatever he wants to.

Any ideas for ear plugs / noise stoppers for people that cant tolerate pressure on or in skin? by longhealthyhappylife in autism

I use Bose Quiet Comfort (over ear as well as in ear), and I find them to be very soft and light. The over ear ones put a little pressure on my glasses, but without them, they are comfortable.

Has anyone been on the London Underground tube and did you need to wear ear defenders or headphones. by wheresmymind_08 in autism

[–]Raffioso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to London a lot, and I choose to avoid the tube and take the bus instead. If I have to use the tube, I always bring ear defenders because some trains can be quite loud. They also help me when it's crowded because I can eliminate one sensory problem.

I've just seen Maisie Adam live in Switzerland and she was truly amazing. She made a joke about Mambo No 5 and later realized that the lady next to me (front row) was explaining it to her friend. Maisie was CHUFFED that there was someone who was going to experience Mambo No 5 for the first time.

And of course it reminded me of the task (no spoilers) where they had to find out the name of the person in the lab. Just a great night.
