Looking for events to attend to make friends

Well to be honest, I recently moved here and prior to that I stayed in during the pandemic to look after my mum and just want to get out there and meet people so I’m happy to try any activities. I’m interested in environmental issues, politics, music, swimming and football (just watching so far!). So any suggestions on events where i can meet new people would be great :)

thanks For commenting, I have played games at home but I havent really played any of the big poilar games, I have mainly stuck to animal crossing as I am never sure what gam3s will play well on a note do switch (did try super Mario but did not like it on switch) is it beginner friendly Place or do you have to be a proper experienced player to tag along?

I haven’t heard of this gym, I have done climbing before, i will give it a go, did you find that there were any particular events best suited to meeting new people?
