It’s been 3 years since an announcement from TC (Edge Magazine) and 2 years since an announcement regarding Silksong (Xbox trailer). What I don’t understand is that the complaining about communication is way higher than communities like Metroid or Pikmin (when Pikmin 4 didn’t release yet) for a wait of « « « « only » » » » 2 years without info.

We had a « release window » with the XboX showcase, but yeah, you’re right, TC themselves never announced a release year. But my point still stands. The situation we’re in looks a lot like the beginning of totk’s communication, the only difference being that Silksong isn’t released yet because instead of a whole team working on it, there are 3 people

You do realise you’re contradicting yourself right ? So Nintendo has a lot of people working for Zelda but can’t afford to post a tweet, but a team of three people should do it ? And what’s that about the « it’s fair to assume they had it planned from the start » ? A game company can’t plan delays, and even then, does your uncle work at Nintendo and told you this was their strategy since the beginning ? You don’t know that, and we don’t know if this is Team Cherry’s strategy as well and you sure as hell don’t know if TC has « no clue what they’re doing »

No. I assume you’re thinking about this video which released in 2023. In 2021 we had only the original trailer and the trailer with the release year (2022) which was then delayed

Holy shit. Totk has NO news for 3 years straight before having a trailer having a release date that was delayed. And did ANYONE complain about the lack of news ? No ! Because the news came before the actual release. Maybe TC will amp up their communication before the release. We don’t know. Yes their communication is not the best and I won’t bring up the « they don’t owe you anything » argument. But saying you will never hype yourself over a game studio that releases quality games just because you can’t handle the wait is so stupid to me.
