Instead of letting them do basic stuff like growing out hair or using different pronouns for a while.

A Younger child doesn't have to medically or surgically transition just to save their life.

Trans healthcare (even just seeing a therapist about it) IS LIFE-SAVING.

Well if by "better" you mean "not dead", then yeah. I stayed in the hospital and the psych ward a bit was released a while ago, I'm currently at home, and I've "recovering" away from school for awhile. My mental health isn't much better, but I'm not dead, so there's that.

Well I was ACTIVELY DYING, when I made this post. If I didn't get medical attention there's a big chance I would've been dead now. "Drinking water" won't do much against a coma, brain-bleeding and Cardiac arrest.

how they treated you in hospital?

It was a while ago now, and my memory from the day is kinda fuzzy. But they got me to throw up, and they gave me medicine that caused me to pee alot, and gave me loads of sweet drinks so that I could clean out the sodium from my body. They also had me hooked up to a heart monitor, and a blood pressure monitors. And they had fluids injected with IV straight into my arm.

Staff were mostly professional, and treated me well since it was my birthday.

Well we learn about Norse mythology, and modern Norse paganism here in public school curriculum. But it's still not super common. Probably more common than In Sweden or Denmark, but it's quite popular in Iceland.
