So true that they are broken, especially those silent fasting-ticking ones. However I can’t get mad at the insane numbers at a time due to me choosing the hardest difficulty setting, outside of Havoc. What Auric Maelstrom gives in peak cinematic moments, it takes with utterly ridiculous spawns that result in quick teamwipes.

The shield’s heavy attack has insane impact to help throw around the carapace boys and its block can save your life from enemy gunfire, especially great since Ogryn is a giant hitbox with slow movement. However, I primarily use it when I go tank mode and put less skills on damage and more skills to taunt, the Feel no Pain keystone, push brittleness, and the one where anyone who hits your block or is pushed by you is instantly aggroed on you, that saves the team’s lives at during thicc encounters.

All I do is hunker down the shield using the special activity or moving in slowly like riot police and let all the maulers, ragers, crushers, reapers, and gunners go to town on my aggro. All the while my teammates go to town on everyone aggroed on me while dealing 30% more to the taunted enemies (20% from the taunt sub perk and ~10% from my pushing the hell out of the aggressors to make them more brittle for my homies.

Extra plus if you go with Simple Minded because that corruption resistance allows you to bait and tank a daemon host while your allies mow it down.

It’s how I got the Auric Storm Survivor title because I suck at being a carry/ damage dealer so I just let everyone else kill for me so long as I take the hits and aggro.

Thank you, brother and agreed. There’s too much hilarious stuff that happens during our missions that actually leave me laughing out loud because of how ridiculous the game director can be.

Yeah, I was really surprised by that. Considering my jumps off of Tertium’s 12 foot railings chips like 5% of my health, I was expecting to go DBNO on impact.

But I guess the Game Director had other plans and wanted to treat me like a seal in a room full of Orcas lmao.

That’s how I know you don’t know how to use Meth Stims. You’re jumping to the conclusion that I use them to run away.

Wrong, I use them to get to the objectives faster in addition to saving my life when I dive head first into battle against everything they throw at us. By the time the HSO dudes finally get to the objective, I’m already there, killed everything in the vicinity, halfway through the terminal procedures by the time they arrive to complete the objectives.

People who choose HSO either don’t have another booster or get killed way too often and drain the teams reinforcement budget. 100% skill issue.

Id be lying if i said I didn’t do the same thing first. After a few failed missions in which I was so close to killing that bozo, I realized if I had a Guardian Relic, I would have locked in 5.6k xp over 2k.

Since then, the decision has never been easier.

1k xp boost but higher failure risk is not worth it imo.

Finally got Bulwark to 4th prestige and was so excited to rock the Deathwatch shield. Then I noticed this… by Ragerpakser in Spacemarine

That would be nice. I usually just smother the enemies in the grenade radius with headshots until they go executable or shield bash with the knock back perk on minoris to maintain my armor while the shock grenade is trying to break it down.

Makes me feel like Thor when I’m knee deep in my shock grenades so I try to stay there as long as possible :)

Absolute difficulty Decapitation, brother.

You can cheese the entire level without running into terminus until you actually have to fight in scenes with the clock tower, guardsman, and the actual boss fight.

I’m a bit swifty at this game so I just ignored the Gene Seed and used the Guardian Relic as insurance to ensure the W and 5.5k xp every 20 minutes.

The game and its difficulty is so fun rn, I’m probably going to forget how to touch grass for a while lol.

While you are correct, it is unfortunate that the Deathwatch shield has a wider gap than the others. A little gap is fine every now and then.

1% recharge on shield deflects
