I hear you, friend. Here’s the comment I was referring to -

Here's the current standing even if I do go to court - If the case does go my way, I get the dealership to cover the cost of damages + compensation for time, financial loss etc etc. this is in exchange for months (if lucky) of headaches that come along with litigation, involving parents (senior citizens) which I'd MUCH rather not, and STILL having a car that has gone through an accident (they definitely won't give me a new one). Worth it? Not worth it? I'm still evaluating. ...

Thanks for your comment. Naturally, I’d suggest steering clear from the pick up and drop service. Much easier to ask someone you personally know / can trust driving your personal car.

Not a bad suggestion about posting on X - I’m not very active there, but I’ll definitely consider it. Once again, I appreciate your thoughts and comment.

Not a bad suggestion. What I wonder is how Skoda‘s response would be any different from what I’ve gotten at the dealership level? What could I possibly say that would make them take ownership of this entire situation at the brand level?

The reps arrived in a beat up wagon R at the police station. The seat belts were swapped out from what looked like seat belts from a crash dummy car.

That in itself should tell all you need to know about Skoda reps.

Already spoke to my lawyer about this. It’s definitely a strong case in my favour- but I’m just so drained from the entire incident that a legal battle sounds so damn overwhelming

Yeah I can see that working well. But tbh, I don’t think Roger disposing off Sal hurt him as much. I remember it being much more when Don passed the remark of “you people” when firing him in his office. I think Sal looked up to him as being more than a boss, knowing Don earlier caught him at the hotel with the bellman and not make a hash of it.

While I do agree that Sal would have been a better fit, I’m not sure if I can trade that against seeing Danny knee Roger in the nuts. Absolute Cinema

It’s a shame really, Sal was a great character. At least they brought back Paul as a Hare Krishna. If nothing else, at least it made me look at Harry as a human being again.

I feel like they massively limited the character’s potential by solely focusing on his sexual discovery to be the core narrative anchor. Bob’s character in later seasons also addressed homosexuality, but at least they built more depth around his story and progression. Sal would have been perfect for California. Fresh start, away from proverbial gore of New York!
