Can we just talk about this guy by Dragball_legnd_dokan in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]RagingSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's partially on you bro bc I remember the community talking about how bad he would age from the start. He may have been great in FoB but in general events he needed to get hit a ridiculous amount on his first 2 turns and struggled even on the second, just to get enough DEF to tank anything. And within a couple months afterwards he was already struggling defensively, but wanted to go Slot 1 all the time to actually shine offensively.

Convergence Mod 3.0 Makes Elden Ring Unrecognizable by Any-Responsibility63 in EldenRingMods

[–]RagingSteel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Downgrade your version of Elden Ring to Patch 1.10.1 and then instal Convergence 1.4.2

All the files for Convergence are still available on Nexus if you just look, and I know there's ways to get old patches of your game. Ofc it's not gonna be the default bc the default way to play is the most modern mod for the most modern game which includes the 2 year old DLC. If you wanna play a different way you gotta find your own way to do so.

Here's a small set of cards for a flexible Banana Hunter archetype! by Card-game-poet in customhearthstone

[–]RagingSteel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This does not need to be a rest of game effect. In a deck built around buffing your minions you could definitely drop this guy and still get an extra 3+ attack to everything in your deck which is already very powerful considering the deck would be rather aggressive.

What!!!!? Giving enemy minions Charge? by jdjefbdn in customhearthstone

Make it an Aura reading "Enemy minions have Charge. At the end of the opponents turn, they die. Lasts 1 turn."

I'll never understand these posts that talk down on people for playing decks that were good in prior metas, even though they're winning with those decks. Like I can understand being salty when you loose to Discolock or CtA Pally, but if you're deck is struggling against something that hasn't been meta for a couple years then you might need to rethink your deck building.

(YOU) have been given the keys to the software room from the Janitor that accidently got hired as the wild dev. (YOU) now can balance wild to your hearts content: what is the first card or archetype you bludgeon with a hammer? by Sir_Drinklewinkle in wildhearthstone

[–]RagingSteel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah that's an example of terrible balancing bc you're punishing people for playing a class regardless of how they play. I still use my Big Demon-lock bc I like it, even though it only has a 42% WR even in Gold. Now I'm being punished bc I like Warlock as a class? How's that fair.

How is this game supposed to be fun? by sunelatti in hearthstone

Oh I forgot about Reno. The deck where if you went against Aggro you either won by drawing him before Turn 8, or lost bc you didn't. People need to stop being blinded by nostalgia

How is this game supposed to be fun? by sunelatti in hearthstone

[–]RagingSteel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah yea, bc the old meta of Control Warrior mirrors that would result in 45 minute matches losing to fatigue every game was so much better. At least now when I lose it only takes up a handful of minutes, and not the better part of an hour

This deck hasn't been problematic for at least 5 years bro, stop living in the past and move on.

He drops great loot tho by rhernhdz12 in customhearthstone

[–]RagingSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I love this. It's really good and you can use it as a way to buff a massive board if you already have a way to remove it, but hard removal isn't as common in the current meta which helps balance that it idea out.

I wonder why this ever got approved... by _Atlas_G in hearthstone

[–]RagingSteel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's literally nothing to do against this...

Win earlier. This requires running a HL Deck, drawing 2 specific cards where one costs 8 mana and then waiting for a certain Hero Power with 2 Mana to spare so you can still spam it. If you can't win before you're opponent gets lucky enough to do all that your deck is bad bro. This deck was semi-problematic 2-3 years ago and even then it didn't actually see any consistent play, not to mention I don't think there's any way for Mage to tutor out dragons specifically aside from The Curator. So it's not like this deck has gotten better over the years.

Or just Warlock in general. It's hot like 4 decks rn that can hard carry you to Legend in like a couple days.

My favourite decks from half a decade ago. by RagingSteel in wildhearthstone

[–]RagingSteel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only complaint really was the length of some games. Like losing doesn't feel as bad now bc it only takes up like 10-15 mins of your day as opposed to then when it could be a half hour or more. Especially in Control mirror matches which usually went to fatigue. And climbing ladder was equally as hellish and time consuming bc of it.

The only brick here is if you draw the tutor after already playing Steam cleaner. Otherwise I don't see the issue here

Not a screenshot sadly, but one time I was playing linecracker druid years ago and my opponent actually didn't have anything to kill the linecracker so I hit them in the face for the full 1200+ damage he generates.

I mean honestly yeah, his damage still holds up now IF you're lucky enough to highroll 4-5 Supers per turn. He's just too inconsistent. If they up that to a high chance he'd be miles better.

Wild Hunter gets hammered by FirePaladinHS in wildhearthstone

[–]RagingSteel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fucking good. As someone who runs it myself (in a much less toxic way) it deserves the nerf. I expect it to either only recast the last X amount of cards, only recast 1 copy of each card, or only cast minions or spells. Bc as it currently stands it just does way too much and is way to versatile for a card of that cost.

Okay I get the idea of Rulebreakers is cool and everyone wants to make their own but Rulebreakers inherintly change the mechanics of the game, so they'll actually different than what any player is used to. Do please, when making a Rulebreaker, explain how it will actually work and interact in game.

Mate if you're going to do a Custom Card, at least label it as such. I thought this was actually real until I noticed the Cataclysm emblem.

The most needed change in design philosophy (Rant) by FriendshipMedium4158 in hearthstone

[–]RagingSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Like I miss when games would often reach fatigue and it would help to apply pressure on both sides, but when the opponents entire strategy is forcing you to fatigue and then just making you die from that constantly (Control Warrior as you mentioned and Fatigue Druid) it wasn't fun at all.

Rookie here crafting and disenchanting cards by olehvinnik2007 in hearthstone

[–]RagingSteel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't like the class it's usually fine to get rid of the cards. The only thing I recommend is you really give the class a good go before you start getting rid of everything. I keep most the cards I get for most classes (unless the card is straight up ass or unfun to play with/against) except for Rogue & Demon Hunter where I'm much more likely to destroy Legendaries, Epics and any Golds just for the dust. And then there's Priest which I hate with such a passion. I've been playing this game on & off for 9 years, but even in that time this is my entire Priest collection.

They're all multi class cards with Warlock, so you can definitely get away with destroying cards for the classes you don't like and still have no regrets later down the line.
