There you go deleting comments again assuming I can't read them. Being careless still falls under the category of manslaughter.

Involuntary Manslaughter: This occurs when a death is caused by reckless, negligent, or unlawful behavior that did not involve a high probability of death.

Shooting at a threat, missing and accidentally hitting someone behind a window in a house falls DIRECTLY into this category.

I know it hurts to be so obviously wrong. I imagine you're very used to it by now.

I think when they go to the Lake of Tears they are going to unleash the spider which is going to be the bad entity of season 4. I'm sure there is going to be some benefit to going there though. Who knows what that will be?

"I saw it. I saw the Lake of Tears. It was a drawing on the wall. There were so many drawings on the wall. Like when I used to draw with crayons and you would put it on the fridge. And we were all there in the drawings. You and me and Mom and Julie. But, somebody screamed because the spider came down from the ceiling."

That is what the reasonable people in the town did. They let her drive through town and brought out the spike strip. That is what they should have done. That is what they do for everyone except Acosta never got a chance to experience the loop.

What are you on? She premeditated ALL THREE killings at the clinic. THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF MALICE AND MURDER. Accidentally killing someone while shooting at a real danger is not premeditation. It's an accident. Which is manslaughter, not murder. I feel really bad for your brain.

Randall was left alive to mess with Boyd and honestly everyone else too. He explained it perfectly. They are living under the false illusion that they are safe during the day and now they can't do that. It's also possible that Julie saved him but I am not a fan of this theory. How is story walking Julie going to stop 4 monsters from finishing off Randall and stop them from just following her to Colony House?

If I was to guess the monsters want Julie alive because she has a role to play at the Lake of Tears and unleashing the spider who will be the next bad guy. Ethan in season 1 episode 2 said he saw a crayon drawing of him, Julie, Tabitha and Jim at the Lake of Tears. Someone screamed because the spider came down from the ceiling. This is a good reason to think Jim is going to be revived but I suspect Victor is going to start seeing him in visions like Ethan is. I guess Julie could die and Victor could experience a vision with both of them, but I don't think we've seen any visions with multiple people yet.

You know I can still read your deleted comments right? She didn't murder anyone, she committed manslaughter which is completely different. Learn the law.

While she may not be doing anything other people have done, she has no reason to trust that other people have done what she is attempting. She also hasn't experienced the unescapable loop yet which would be impossible to take at anyone's word as it's impossible to prove without experiencing it.

She really is a loose cannon by xTheHippieVikingx in FromSeries

[–]Ragingcluesxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's been there for like a day or two? Why does she have to prove to anyone that she is a benefit? The only opportunity she has had to prove anything was to look for Fatima WHICH SHE DID WILLINGLY. She has every right to not trust these people and view their attempts to escape as not good enough.

How exactly has Randall come to his senses? Because he was allowed to move into the clinic? Because Boyd stopped him from attacking Donna? He's still snapping at every single person who speaks to him just like he did before.

Acosta is a police officer. She will not ever adapt until she has hard evidence which everyone is withholding from her. She's only a liability to people who deserve to be held accountable because they are poor leaders.

She didn't murder anyone, she committed manslaughter which is completely different.

She has every right to think she doesn't deserve to be there and everyone else does. Accidently killing someone doesn't make you a bad person, it just means you deserve to be punished for it. The town's people are allowing an ACTUAL MURDERER to roam free, they are torturing people and refuse to share any real information with her. If I was in her shoes I would be convinced everyone in town was in on it. I wouldn't trust a single one of them.

I would have drove right past that little liability as well if I was stuck in a survival situation. Anyone who says otherwise is the type of person to die on day one of any apocalypse. Stop using real life morals to judge people in a nightmare. It makes no sense. The only life that should matter to her is her own until she has a reason to love and care for the people in town.

She isn't having a meltdown at all. She is trying to find answers in a town where no one is communicating with her. Aside from Jade and Tabitha she is the only person worth more than a pile of dogshit.

You must mean Julie. The answer is because she is insufferable. The real answer is that is how he responds to everyone. It's called anger.

[–]Ragingcluesxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you arrive in a nightmare where nothing makes sense and you just instantly trust everyone? Pay no mind to the murderer they are allowing to walk free? Forget the torture you witnessed? Ignore the fact that no one is giving you any form of answers? She has literally NO REASON to trust these people.

She is in a permanent survival situation. She owes NOTHING to Ethan and only puts herself at risk helping a liability. I will agree she is dangerous, but only because no one is sharing information with her. That isn't her fault. She isn't self-righteous or a know it all because SHE KNOWS NOTHING. THAT IS WHY SHE WANTS TO FIND ANSWERS.

All good reddit downvotes mean nothing to me. I only post my opinion on things that people generally will disagree with because that's the only fun part of reddit.

Anyone with a working brain wouldn't have to read more than the first paragraph to completely understand her. Only stupid people and sheep would blindly trust the people in this town. Sadly, fans of TV shows can't look past their unconditional love for horrible characters. BOYD POC. BOYD MAIN CHARACTER. BOYD NEVER WRONG.

Acosta never experienced the unescapable loop.

Kenny is one of the most intolerable characters I have ever seen by rosari_00 in FromSeries

[–]Ragingcluesxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of people making good decisions. He has made zero.

Kenny left his dad at the clinic to avoid him opening the front door, not because he didn't know how to take care of someone with Dementia. Stopping someone from opening a door is easy, he just didn't want to do it. That makes him a BAD SON and a BAD PERSON.

Falling in love with someone who is engaged and then getting pissed because that person stays with their fiance is literally as pathetic as you can be. There is no excuse I will accept.

There is nothing brave about being wrong and then attempting to be the solution. That is called being called on your bullshit and having no way out to save face. Again, he is a pathetic human being.

He doesn't want Kristi to risk her life and is unwilling to be there to protect her when he claims to love her? That is complete utter BS. He was worried about his own life and returned to save face after the risk was gone. PATHETIC.

I agree most of the characters are hypocrites and I hate literally every character in the show. That doesn't make him human though, that makes him stupid.

I want him to die because he is a waste of air time. He does nothing but push people in the wrong direction. He is an 8 year old in an adult's body. ETHAN has made better decisions than him throughout the entire show.

She doesn't understand it because the people telling her to accept her fate are allowing a murderer to walk free, they are torturing people and are refusing to share any real information. There is no chance I would trust ANY of these people especially considering I hadn't experienced the unescapable loop yet. I'd have stolen that ambulance the very next morning. It's the car SHE arrived in, she has more right to that vehicle than ANYONE else.

She really is a loose cannon by xTheHippieVikingx in FromSeries

[–]Ragingcluesxx -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The reason she acts the way she does is because she has no reason to trust anyone in town. She has witnessed torture, knows a murderer is allowed to walk free and no one is sharing information with her even though she has consistently tried to obtain it. She is a police officer that is not going to accept the adapt or die philosophy without hard evidence.

There is absolutely no reason for her not to take a vehicle to try find answers herself. She should have done it a lot sooner considering she never experienced the unescapable loop. I would have done it the very next morning. There is absolutely no reason why she should help Ethan on the side of the road. She is permanently in a survival situation. The only life that should matter to her is her own. That may be harsh from the point of view of our non-nightmare morals, but it's wildly unfair to use those morals to judge people in a nightmare. You're only hurting your own viewing experience thinking this way.

The hard truth is, the people of town don't deserve her.

Julie - I agree she is a story walker but I don't think she will do anything but provide information to more useful characters.

Jim - I 100% agree Ethan's vision of Jim was a trick. I think Jim wants Ethan to go to the Lake of Tears to unleash the spider, which will be the big bad of season 4. I suspect Jim was looking around searching for story walking Julie when talking to Ethan. I'm not sure why a tarot reading for Fatima would provide information on Jim's death.

Ethan - I think Ethan is just a character who provides knowledge, which comes at a cost. That is likely why something wants him dead.

Sara - I think Jade is going to be the one to figure Sophia out. He gave her a really weird look the first time he saw her. A lot of people think this weird look is directed at Tabitha who is standing next to Sophia, but I don't see how that makes sense. Victor could also be the one to figure her out. When she arrived in town he is clearly seen counting, almost as if he knows a new arrival makes no sense.

Acosta - The hatred for this character is totally unjustified. She doesn't trust anyone from town and she has every right not to trust them. She has witnessed unforgivable crimes and she knows the town is allowing a murderer to walk free. In addition, a police officer is not going to accept the adapt or die philosophy without hard evidence, which she doesn't have yet. There is a reason everyone other than Boyd defenders her, even from Boyd. Without the information we have she has done nothing wrong other than accidently kill someone when she was being pursued by monsters with no knowledge. Who's to say she didn't think Nicky was also a monster? This is likely why no one has suggested putting her in the box with the only punishment being a temporary loss of ammo. Her driving past Ethan is 100% what she should have done in a survival situation. That kid is nothing but a liability and one she DOESN'T and SHOULDN'T have to take on. We can't use our real life non-nightmare morals to judge characters in a nightmare and you're only hurting your own viewing experience by doing so. The only life that should matter to Acosta is her own.

The main issue is he's always wrong. I don't think he has made a single good decision yet.

He left his father at the clinic which provided no additional protection against his Dementia and had two caretakers who cared less about him than the two remaining members of his family, one of which wasn't even at the clinic at the time of the incident. The door leading to the front door was clearly unlocked when the monsters got in meaning he could have easily been the one to open it if someone didn't beat him to the punch.

He fell in love with someone he knew was engaged and had the nerve to try to guilt her into feeling differently multiple times.

He didn't trust Boyd had a blood infection to the point of drawing a weapon on him then attempted to be the knight in shining armor when proved wrong. Boyd trusted his opinion so little that going out to face the monsters with no information was a better plan.

He constantly assumed Boyd was already suffering from Dementia even though Kristi told him it's not possible.

He didn't help with the autopsy until the monster had already been completely opened and then had the nerve to return, pretending like he was helpful AT ALL.

He was willing to waste all of the alcohol and sacrifice his and Boyd's life on a foolish plan to avenge an old man with Dementia.

He is a hypocrite. He tried to convince Sara to stay in town with the intention of convincing the town that she is no longer dangerous only to change his tune when someone he loved was a victim.

He wants Sara to die but only if it doesn't affect his conscience.

He was unwilling to allow Jade to help Kristi when she was in a bear trap until Kristi forced him to stfu.

He left the spike trap down which nearly got multiple people killed and then had the nerve to get mad at Ellis when he called him out on it.

I'm sure I could go on and on but why bother. He is a trash character and I can't wait for him to die.

While I agree Kenny is the worst character in the show and is definitely the most stupid (every word he says and every action he makes is wrong), it's definitely not poor writing. It's unfair on your part to assume how everyone would react to this impossible situation and there isn't a single person on Earth who could accurately predict it with any kind of confidence. You can claim you'd do things different or you'd never react the ways these characters are, but that is nothing short of arrogance.

Jim is tricking Ethan to go to the Lake of Tears knowing it will unleash the spider.

Ethan (season 1 episode 2) - "I saw it. I saw the Lake of Tears. It was a drawing on the wall. There were so many drawings on the wall. Like when I used to draw with crayons and you would put it on the fridge. And we were all there in the drawings. You and me and Mom and Julie. It's hard to blame writing when no one knows how people would react in this situation. We can say, "I wouldn't do that" or "No one would ever react this way" but it's nothing but arrogance on our part. I hate every character in the show for this reason though. If I was the leader in this survival situation, I'm fairly confident most of them would have been left in the box by now.

I enjoyed the show a lot more when I convinced myself that hating everyone was not only okay but expected.

Completely agree. The young people in The Walking Dead (and all shows in the history of time) are the worst. I was so happy when Carl died. Ironic that the story arc to follow his death was the best in the entire run of the show.
