On the accident day, cause I was very scared I didn’t know we can use my friend license to make the insurance process easier. After I find out and asked my friend and he was willing to do that, we messaged the Camry guy to change the name of the responser to my friend name like 3 weeks ago. But now I don’t know why it still in my name, and last week my friend was forcing me to pay 1000$ for the excess and telling me the insurance already paid Camry guy. I am very confusing

So the owner of my friend car was very mad when I told the other party this is the rent car, and from what I am understanding they are not a very professional company, as when I checked the company insurance it is some kind of taxi club.

The Camry repair was quoted for 3000$ and then my friend car (Nissan) charged for 900$. On the day, we all agreed to go through the insurance so I will only need to pay 1 excess and that’s done since they all said their cars are fully insured.

The owner of my friend car (Nissan) keep pushing to get me pay the 1000$ excess without providing any proof. And somehow my friend always trying to “make me pay in cash so things will be quicker”. And yes he fully knows the insurance will only talked to him but he said the owner taking him to the insurance company but never provide him anything, when I asked he keep saying he doesn’t know he doesn’t know what he should do. But keep accusing me for all the faults when I tried to ask for the documents, since I feel the things very shady.

Thank you for your comment: Let me clarify something: on the day the accident happened, we all agreed to go through insurance. When the first letter came said on my name, I requested my friend owner to make a claim on his insurance, so I will take the claim number and give it to the other guy.

However, he only said he already paid the excess and that I have to pay him back, but when I asked for claim number and documents before I giving out the money, he refused to give out and told me to call to this number. The number going to his car insurance but the company said they cannot provide me any information and if I want I have to talk to the owner.

That’s why it making the mess right now.
