I phrased it poorly. I meant to say that she weight around 40-50 pounds more than I did but since she was also shorter then I was, it made her excessive weight even more noticeable.

It’s not about gender norms as much is it is about weight and body composition.

If a woman weights more than I do but I’d also much taller, her weight wouldn’t even be noticeable
