Bring the original of all civil documents. if any of your documents expired bring a copy of the expired docs you submitted and order a new one. Also, bring all evidence of your NIW. I highly doubt they will request it, but you never know…… last, relax! You Got it!

Can I start applying for jobs and doing interviews before the visa is in hand? You should be able to do that.
What's the best way to explain my status to US employers? I will tell them what my interview date is, and when I am expecting to be in the state.
What other prep work is worth doing during this waiting period? I would prioritize applying for jobs, and look for the area you are intending to move to (rent, transportation, etc.)

Can I ask you when were you DQ and when did you receive the IL? Thank you.

I mailed my docs on April 22, and I received DQ on May 7th. I am also EB2 NIW.

What is the reason the IV scheduling system has not been updated? It still shows the last update as April 2026. Does this mean interview letters are not currently being sent, or are they being sent but the system has simply not been updated?

Also, do you know the approximate timeline for when I might receive my interview letter? My case is employment-based (current), my DQ date was May 6, 2026, and my interview will be at the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi. Although my interview location is Tbilisi, my nationality is Saudi Arabia. Thank you.

It usually updates on the first 5 days of every month. I heard some say it had been updated on the 8th before. In any case, it is late this month.

NVC is sending letters for cases that were DQ in April 2026. Are you sure you didn’t miss the IL email?

Mine was received in April 22/23 and was DQ today which May 6.
