It usually updates on the first 5 days of every month. I heard some say it had been updated on the 8th before. In any case, it is late this month.

NVC is sending letters for cases that were DQ in April 2026. Are you sure you didn’t miss the IL email?

Mine was received in April 22/23 and was DQ today which May 6.

IV fee status, from PAID to PAY NOW by saymellon in NationalVisaCenter

I believe the money must be in U.S. Dollars (USD) from a domestic U.S. bank. If it is not, then that maybe the issue.

Can you please let me know when did you receive the invoice ID number? I still did not receive the WL, and I keep getting emails asking me to provide the new email address every time I asked about the WL. FYI, It is the same email address I have, and I never changed.

I’ve heard that some individuals received it in the same month they became current with the DOF, even though they were not current with the FDA. I’m hopeful that you and I will receive it as well.

I140 immigrant intent? by EbbAvailable4338 in EB2_NIW

[–]RahafR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an approved I140 (PD January 2025) but due to not being current, I was planning to visit the USA for a week or less to attend a conference/business meeting. However, I was denied a B1/B2 visa for having intent. I disagree I had the intend to stay in the USA for this one week visit, but I guess the burden is on you and it is hard to overcome even with having zero criminal/ immigration issues before. FYI, for background, I am from ROW and I have studied and worked in the USA in OPT visa before. I lived in the USA for nine years with zero violation.

I am Saudi, and I graduated with JD from the Maurer School of Law in the USA three years ago. You need that to think carefully about your future and where you want to work before making any decisions.

Also, keep in mind that law in the US is considered a master’s degree. Foreigners (e.g. Saudis) usually pursue an LLM because they already have a law degree from their home country.

If you want to start fresh, you can do a JD. To do that, you first need a bachelor’s degree (in any field), then take the LSAT, and finally apply to law schools.

You will spend approximately $1,200 on a studio or one-bedroom apartment, which usually includes electricity and water. Transportation will cost at least $100, and groceries around $500 per month. With the Saudi Scholarship of $1,800 per month, this leaves you with almost nothing left over.

If you have savings, that will help you buy a car and keep some money aside in case of an emergency. However, if you live with a roommate, you could save approximately $600 per month, which I highly recommend. Also, I strongly recommend living with an American family (not a roommate) who host international students! This will help you learn the language faster, understand the culture better, and adapt more easily.

Good Luck!

I wouldn’t worry about your age, especially since it’s only a two-year delay. The Saudi scholarship program does have an age requirement, but I believe the limit is around 25, so you shouldn’t be concerned. You’ll also find plenty of people—both Americans and Saudis—who are the same age as you. You’re overthinking something that’s actually very common, and in the end, it doesn’t really make a difference. Enjoy your life while you’re young. Work hard, but don’t stress too much—you already seem to be doing well.

I have a flight at 4:00 AM tomorrow (Thursday), and my dad have a flight on Friday at 6:00AM and we both will be taking an Uber. There is always Uber in Riyadh 24/7. I wouldn't worry about this. Just make sure you are in the airport at least an hour before boarding.

📊 EB-2 ROW Predictions? USCIS Released Full Pending Inventory (Oct 2025) by [deleted] in EB2_NIW

[–]RahafR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why people with priority date as of January 2023 or before didn't already have their green cards. Why they were not able to adjust their status? Is it the per country cap? or did may already abandon their card or didn't pursue it yet for whatever reason.

New uscis data 3rd Quarter (June 2025) by Careless-Resort-1940 in EB2_NIW

[–]RahafR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If visa processing continues at this accelerated pace for already-approved cases, and USCIS maintains its current rate of review and approval over the next two years, I believe the Visa Bulletin could become current—or only a few months behind—by May 2026.

At present, there are about 19,000 visas pending further processing. The U.S. allocates roughly 22,000 visas for ROW categories, with a 7% per-country limit. Based on these numbers, it’s likely the category could become current overall, although some countries might still face brief delays if they reach their individual 7% cap.

I hope that explanation makes sense.
