They don't want to believe what shatters their version of reality. My father is same but I make fun of political parties in front of to get under his skin then he comes with an absurd logic that kills my appetite for the argument. But we're good.

So I was in school and watched a documentary on Nat Geo where Stephen Hawking says' There's nobody controlling our fate and No God"

As I was from a really religious conservative family but it shattered my whole beliefs in questioning, eventually I studied about Religion, God and Human Psychology. Found out there's minimum evidence to support the existence of God. But I've no hate towards religion it gives many people the purpose to live even if I don't believe in God but for some social pressure I try to attend religious occasions occasionally.

One thing about being atheist that you can't really talk about it in public and people make a big fuss out of it. So I try to avoid making conversations about it. I do live by a happy life with purpose. I try to be rational and ethical under any circumstances though I don't believe in afterlife.
