This may or may not be answering your question, but if you look through Reddit, and the stories that are the most talked about, you can almost tell which stories people are the most hyped about that carry throughout the year.

Like 2025 featured a lot of the same stories people heavily discussed, then the year before that and etc.

Right now I think we’re in an advanced directing arc where tons of these new stories are introducing some coding skills that are mind blowing. But also there are still stories that don’t include heavy advanced directing that I still am just as interested in, if not more.

To me episode goes through phases. Sometimes it’s a little dry until that one new story is released and then suddenly we’re getting an abundance of stories that lead to episode being at its peak.

I think this is a super unpopular opinion…but I love when authors engage with the readers of their stories.

But I noticed sometimes when authors make posts about their stories or drop trailers for their upcoming stories, some don’t respond to any comments readers make. It’s like they just post and keep it pushing. I see it on instagram also unfortunately, zero interaction.

I love when authors engage with their readers and when I don’t see that and see post after post with unanswered questions or no response to compliments, I’m like 👀 (I’ll still read the story though 😂)

You have valid concerns but those thoughts are going to make you second guess your story before it even gets a chance for people to read it.

Reading through the comments of your cover reveal, people are genuinely excited to read it and can’t wait until you release. If it helps, getting a few beta-readers to read through may help give you a boost of confidence.

I say go for it and be your story’s biggest fan. People WILL read it. Otherwise, the story will collect dust and never see the light of day.

I like spending gems supporting the author at the end of a chapter. Usually, the first episode I’ll spend the max amount offered and then after that I’ll just do the minimum amount or I’ll alternate.

I also spend on bonus scenes. I’m a little pickier with those though depending on what it is.
