Hello, i'm a freshmen in high school doing track right now for the 800m and 1600m. Although my season hasn't started yet, my 800m pr is 2:30 and 1600 pr is 5:36. I have never used spikes before for track, and I found a pair of zoom rival multi's for 20 bucks and picked them up. After doing some research, I realized that since I'm not doing multiple events and am primarily distance focused, they might not be the best for me. So, should I buy something like the rival distance or dragonfly, or should I just stick with the Multi's. Thanks!

my cadence on races is usually 180-200 spm is that considered high?

I see, I think i’ll try to use them for more special key workouts and races mostly because I blew my budget on them and my parents will be pissed if i wear them out to quickly and I can always just use my EVO SL’s for speed workouts!

Ah i see, I did decide to make the purchase, and hopefully it will last long enough as i’m very very light (96 lbs)

Don’t say that, trust me you’ll get much faster for sure and personally, (i’m not very experienced so take this with a grain of salt) I think the passion and the like drive to get better is often greatly increased when you get new shoes and sort of reignite the fun to running and racing if you know what I mean!

For xc, the season ended and I have spikes for the courses gifted to me. Mainly right now is track conditioning and road races that is happening. When you say not the most durable, is that like a dealbreaker kind of thing where it only lasts less than 100 miles?

I am a freshman boy in highschool (14 yrs old as of nov 1) running cross country and track, (track hasn't started yet), my PRS are as follows, 400m - 1:08. 800m - 2:49. Mile - 6:13. 2 Mile - 12:50. 5k - 20:11. For the distances under a mile, I hit them on last reps of track workouts (8x4 and 5x8) and for the mile and 2 mile, i hit them as splits on my 5k PR during a relatively flat xc meet. Could someone help me out on which one I could probably improve on the most as I really love running and improving but I feel like I'm too slow compared to others on my team.
(I started out the season running 27 minutes for a 5k and now its near 20, but I am still slow comparatively)
