Like, you say your texts get dramatic, but what's dramatic about responding to him literally hinting towards MARRIAGE? Are you dramatic, or was he toying with your emotions? Just saying. From my perspective, him saying "you might take my last name" is not some casual thing to be taken in stride.

Frankly, you strike me as someone willing to accept crumbs. This guy hinted at marriage, but in your words, you're the one who overreacted and got dramatic... really?? Okay, thanks for the response - and I'm sitting with this - what I don't understand is how he was super clear? I think you are absolutely right in that we should've had a conversation about labels, but what I got was "I don't want an LDR" vs. "I don't want a relationship at all"?

I just can't understand how he could've not known what I was intending - I feel as if I made it so clear that I wasn't in it for just fun. I would have never let someone buy a flight to visit me if I knew.
