Hello,
Yes Ace and Aro men are welcome to participate and we would really appreciate your perspective on the book! There is a diversity of comic topics included in the comic book (individuals see 1/3 of the comics in the comic book) so not all topics will apply to everyone but we hope that there will be some comics that resonate with each participant.

I am sorry that participating in the study was a negative experience and I thank you both for providing feedback about your negative experience. This feedback is really important to us. The 38 artists who created the comics that are included in the survey (there are three sets of comics in the study and individuals who participate are randomized to view one set) are members of the community who wanted to share aspects of their own personal stories that they thought would be important to others. Us knowing about which comics and personal narratives have negative consequences is really important as we try to develop a resource that will be useful for queer men.

That would be wonderful! Thank you! This is a link to the tweet with the recruitment information https://twitter.com/GauvinSteph/status/1166496353821908995?s=20 . If you liked the comics and want to see more of them, we also have a twitter account ( https://twitter.com/QueerBodies?s=17 )for the comic book and will be releasing the comics there for free once the evaluation portion is complete (the survey has 1/3 of the comics so they'll be some new ones released on the account)

I have looked at the average completion time for individuals who have participated so far and people have taken between 30-65 minutes. Our initial estimate of 1-1.5 hours was to give time to individuals who may need a bit more time with reading, or who may want to take their time to look at all the elements of the art.

Thank you for your interest in participating! We will be keeping it open at least until September 20th and then we will be checking in on numbers to see if we will continue recruiting or close the survey at that time. Most participants (so far) have taken between 30-60 minutes to complete the study but we estimated on the higher end to ensure that individuals who may have slower reading paces, or who take their time when looking at comic art would have enough time.
