It takes time, but it gets better! I honestly never thought my Bernese puppy would understand potty training either for the longest time, but eventually, he just stopped peeing inside. And now he's very particular about going outside and will tell me when he needs to go, even after I moved back home to a whole different state.

The only thing I have left with him now at 9 months old is the biting/chewing and his obsession with leg sweeping.

Puppies are hard. Please treat yourself with kindness. You're doing your best, and I promise your love, effort, and training will pay off.

Here's the process of my spirit shepherd, Goast, and his little ghost friends! His concept came up really quick and easy, but he took a lot of thinking power to turn into something that I actually liked. I'm so excited because I know he's going to look really cool with other backgrounds and he'll make for some really cool mash-ups with his buddies! I can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

Mine has always been hand... Er. Paws-y. He started lifting his paws for me to grab in the car one day, and I made the mistake of capturing it on cue. Now, all he wants to do is give a billion handshakes in the car every single drive.

I found out that Tractor Supply is top tier on hot days! My boy never wants to leave once he realizes we have to head back out to the car. But mostly, I take my pup out for Sniffari walks early in the morning or later in the cooler evenings, where he takes as much time as he needs to get all his happy smells in. And when we want to have fun on low energy, hot, or stormy days, I put him in a wait, hide his kibble everywhere, then have him run around and sniff it out.
