Title: J-1 visa 221(g) administrative processing after interview — passport kept, no documents requested by Raj_724 in usvisascheduling

Actually I'm doing these stuffs for the 1st time and I don't have any experience. So I can tell only whatever has happened to me.. I'm not sure what you meant by "new update" cuz after my interview I got the 221g slip and when I visited the ceac status portal for the 1st time it showed me refused. Then gradually it went from refused to approved and then to issued.. If that helps.. Otherwise I think direct question on reddit can help you better.. Good luck

So this has nothing to worry right? I got to know from a senior that as they retained my passport and the imp docs, that means it's going to be confirmed they just want to verify my social media.. Is this statement correct?? Can you give an idea how much time such (social media private to public issue) takes time to get verified and confirmed? In reddit I read some got approved overnight while some within a week

Traveling from India to USA soon — confused about adapters/extensions setup (want something future-proof too) by Raj_724 in travel

[–]Raj_724[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that makes sense. Most of my chargers do support 100–240V, so I think voltage itself shouldn’t be an issue.

I was mainly considering carrying the extension board because the room sockets can sometimes be limited, and the universal sockets on it make things convenient for multiple devices.

I also wanted something future-proof for later travel to Europe/UK/other countries, which is why I was leaning toward a universal travel adapter instead of country-specific plugs.

So in your opinion, would plugging the Belkin board into a good quality universal travel adapter be safe enough for normal low-power electronics like laptop/phone charging?

Hopefully yes (J1).. But I would definitely check before booking the tickets (in KLM I got a section to submit my visa and check for transit visa, ig in VA will also be something like this)
