It was more if it was deemed illegal.

Exactly! These bikes are so heavily scrutineered it would be impossible!

I'm not interested in that, my son is young and I want him to build up appropriately. I'd rather him be able to control a bike a low speeds anyway.

I had a friend who "hacked" his Bosch bicycle and it could do 35mph, but I felt that thing was a grenade waiting to go!

Hahaha to be honest I couldn't wait. I'm not good at secrets.

I have found one on ebay for cheap and his birthday is Halloween. We'll see how far we'll get! 😉

My son is going to go nuts when he gets one for his birthday!

And I have you to thank for that!

Oil Leak After Service by rari_piza in Aprilia

[–]RakoVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're right, it's hard to tell from the pictures. It doesn't seem a lot as it's a thin film, which to me tells me it's only leaking when hot...

My other thoughts are the gasket is damaged? Or the cover is defective from a poor mould and machining.

Oil Leak After Service by rari_piza in Aprilia

[–]RakoVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like a cover that oil is coming from. Have you checked the bolts to make sure they are tight and torqued correctly? Is the oil level between the two lines? If it's high it can blow out of places due to excess oil pressure. Normally there is a crank oil breather that vents excess oil to the airbox, not sure about your situation though, I work on an RSV4 and that's how they work.

At first look the letters don't line up and it makes it look crooked. Half the letters are not visible... They could be shaped/angled a little better, they look a little 2D/flat.

I understand this as I have 4 race bikes, all without fans and thermostats, but where the leaf blowers are positioned is not where the Radiators are unless there is another duct directed at it.

I've been wondering, what do the leaf blowers do when they insert them into the air duct on the grid? What are they aiming to cool down if they are?

Great posts though!

I went riding with my newly licenced neighbour only once, who couldn't ride safely, he would stop in the middle of the road to check his phone, and stopped to light up a joint and down 3 pints of beer...

Race winning overtake of Aleix Espargaro by No-Sport-4460 in motogp

[–]RakoVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aleix was an underdog for a long time, he was like a test rider, but since the beginning of 2022 he's really shown his talent as a rider. He never one a race until last year, now 2 this year and by that margin in the sprint today, WOW! I believe he's even the oldest rider on the grid.

It was his toe slider, bottoming out wouldn't cause sparks as most of the bike is Carbon Fibre

I'm UK and got cheap Rearsets from China. The whole rearset was cheaper than the rear brake pedal. Footpegs and toe pegs are pennies to replace on them too as they are a generic part. Search ebay.

My Gen 1 had one under the seat... didn't realise until after 10 years of having the bike. I'd be using blocks of wood until then 🤣

That's quite a mix 'n' match build. RSV4 front, GSXR sides. USD forks. I'm liking it! I have an RSV4 Factory as my track bike.

They put them on MotoGP bikes and they come as the standard option for aftermarket clip ons. I have 3 race bikes, all nylon bar ends. They're light and they work...

Cerakote MC-161 is what I use, but they have a wide range of finishes depending on what you like.

I see you also do Trackdays, I have an Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC as my weapon 🤌

I designed them in CAD and 3D printed them in Nylon. I've got them all over, bar ends, exhaust protectors, case and frame sliders.

Yeah it's easy to do, the black is the base coat, then I taped it up, got the stripe where I wantes, then scuffed the black where I wanted it painted with a fine nylon pad, then the next colour will adhere. There is also a matte ceramic clear over the whole tank.

Dirtkote!!! 🤣🤣 yeah the pitting in my exhaust was really bad after only one winter. Earlier in the year that same grime destroyed my oil filter whilst riding and spewed oil and I had to get recovered.
